a week agoVisited on a grey day with perfect temps, and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The garden isn’t huge, but it’s packed with beautiful native Texas flowers and well-maintained trails. It’s definitely a great spot if you’re looking for a peaceful stroll and want to soak in some natural beauty without needing to spend hours wandering. The facilities are nice—clean restrooms, shaded areas, and a solid little café. It’s very family-friendly too. That said, if you’re a hardcore botanical garden enthusiast, there are more expansive and diverse gardens in the area (like the one down in San Antonio), but Lady Bird is still worth a visit, especially for a laid-back day in Austin.

a month agoThis place is extremely beautiful. The architecture and gardens are authentic to Texas. The entire property and its many trails are maintained. One issue was parking, and if you plan to come over on a break or weekend, you can spend 10 minutes parking. If you have kids, come on the weekend but if you don't like kids I would suggest coming during the week. This place has a cute cafe, a themed shop, and many activities to do. I loved hearing the windchimes throughout, which sounded wonderful and added to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a splendid experience and activity with the warm weather.

a month agoWhat a beautiful, serene place! So many different areas and trails to enjoy. Everything is well marked and easy to navigate with well maintained trails, water fountains and restrooms. Lots of benches! It has a wonderful family area for kids to play, but plenty of quiet paths and gardens if you seek only the sounds of song birds and wind chimes. Austin is very fortunate to have this little piece of heaven in the city and I hope we continue to protect it.

2 weeks agoThis is a great place to visit when you have guest in town or when you are a visitor to Austin. Perfect timing for bluebonnet season. I saw many families coming here and having picnics. The walk around the center is no less than 1 mile. Of course you have to stop into the gift shop and look around too. Entrance fee is $15 and seniors have a discount.

3 weeks agoSo much more than I expected. I was so impressed that I became a member. There are so many beautiful places to walk! Accessible for all ages and abilities. So many gorgeous spots to sit and relax. Brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed it under a live oak as I watched the cardinals play in surrounding trees Volunteers are amazing and educational. Great food. Clean restrooms. The gift shop is lovely. Came away with a magnet to remember my visit. I can easily imagine spending a full day there.
