2 months agoI ended up visiting the park by happenstance because there was a Day of the Dead, Día de (los) Muertos celebration happening. There were food vendors, art design craft tables that you could buy from and live music. It was the perfect place for the celebration.

9 months ago07/13/2024 - first time visiting this small park with stone like pathways for cycling, jogging, rollerblading/rollerskating, running, skateboarding through, and walking. There are some nice grassy areas for picnicking. Nice tall trees that serve as functional decor shielding from the sun rays. There are also some wrought iron benches throughout the small square. There is a statue of Henry Clay(Hart, 1863) that is positioned in the center of the area. Nice and clean area that welcomes all to visit. Limited nearby parking available and for a fee. Enjoy!

6 months agoI came here a couple of times, while doing a little light wandering around New Orleans. The trees here are next level! I’m becoming more of a nature connoisseur, and I approve of the greenery in this park. Worth wandering through this square during the day and soaking it in.

2 months agoBooked the grandstand seats here. A was great but every float basically stopped just ahead of us to toast the mayor . We then had tickets for B much better the music and commentary from the MC was a good addition however found the floats didn’t thrown much here as they were concentrating on the VIP side

2 years agoThe square has mostly open space with tons grass area for picnic and other fun activities. But I like the most about the park is the trees here. They provide nice showdow for a hot day and plenty of benches to sit and rest. The trees are also much bigger and olders than those of the same spieces you saw on the side of the road. Some of them are so big that their branches dropped to the sideway which looks pretty cool. Unfortuantely you can see the signs of trimming; too bad. The branches spreat out like abstract art; cannot help but taking too many photos of them.
