Insider tips

  • Verify operating hours directly (e.g., by visiting early or looking for local signs) as website information may be inaccurate.
  • Check the functionality of the online booking link *before* driving to the location, as it might not be working.
  • Wear water-resistant footwear like sandals, as kayaks might take on water and result in wet feet/butt.
  • Look for Groupon deals before booking to potentially save money.
  • Consider the lack of a phone number when planning; confirmation of availability is challenging without it.
  • Arrive well before the stated closing time to ensure you have enough time, given inconsistent hours.

Good to know before you go

  • Last-minute visits, especially close to the presumed closing time (e.g., 3 PM or later) due to potential discrepancies in hours.
  • Relying solely on the website for bookings or accurate operating hours without external confirmation.
  • Driving a significant distance without any form of confirmation (given unreliable website and no phone number), to avoid being turned away.
  • If you strictly prefer to stay completely dry, as kayaks might take on water.
  • Inconsistent operating hours reported (website stated 5 PM, actual closing at 4 PM).

"Safety first when You go kayaking, always. The water is beautiful from the land, but there is something better when You are actually on the waters surface. You can get closer to all of the action happening with the wildlife, including the Swans. Love it! Try it for Yourself and see what You think."

"Went to do some canoeing with one of the ladies from my Tai Chi class. I went to rent the canoe while she went to get a couple of paddles. When she returned, she asked me which paddle I wanted? I told her either oar!"

"Beautiful place for a relaxing ride. On website you could reserve canoe/kayak ahead of time with specific time slot. There's sometimes Groupon deals available, do check on them as well. Walk-ins are available if they have them in stock. Our kayak had water coming in mid-way and we had to switch to a canoe instead 😅 Got our feet and butt a little wet lol. No big deal for us but it does happen sometimes. Definitely wear sandals if you planned ahead of time just in case!"
