  • Fun ropes course and climbing walls that entertain multiple kids simultaneously.
  • Stunning views of the San Antonio Riverwalk throughout the experience, enhancing the atmosphere.
  • Friendly, helpful, kind, and attentive staff, specifically praised for being great with kids.
  • Provides a strong sense of achievement and bravery for children, such as managing to get off the zip line (e.g., for a 4-year-old).

Insider tips

  • Consider purchasing access to both the ropes course and rock climbing wall for what one reviewer called the 'BEST deal'.
  • Be aware that the obstacle course (ropes) is on the 3rd floor and the climbing wall is on the 2nd floor of the River Center Mall; plan your navigation accordingly.
  • Parents of younger children (e.g., a 4-year-old) should be prepared to provide significant assistance on the attractions.
  • Use the provided wristband to manage your time, especially if moving between the two activity locations.
  • Double-check the exact location within the River Center Mall as online maps might be inaccurate regarding floor levels.

Good to know before you go

  • Relying solely on general map directions without confirming the specific floor locations for each activity within the River Center Mall.
  • Bringing very young toddlers or infants who cannot participate, as the activities are geared towards active engagement (though no explicit age minimum is mentioned, 4-year-olds need help).
  • The map location provided may be incorrect; the obstacle course (ropes course) is on the third floor, and the climbing wall is on the second floor of the River Center Mall.
  • The ropes course and rock climbing wall are in two separate locations within the mall, requiring movement between floors if both activities are purchased.
Value
Customers found the pricing to be 'accessible,' 'not expensive,' and 'very reasonable.' There is an option to pay for just the ropes course or just the rock climbing wall, but purchasing both is recommended as the 'BEST deal.' No specific prices are mentioned, but the overall sentiment is that it's good value for money.
Accessibility
No specific accessibility accommodations for physical disabilities or sensory needs are mentioned in the reviews, but being located within a mall implies general mall accessibility. The activities themselves are physical.
Safety
Staff are consistently described as helpful and attentive, suggesting a level of supervision during activities. Wristbands are used to track time spent on activities. No specific details about harnesses, safety briefings, or first aid stations are provided, but these are standard for such venues.

"My kids had an absolute blast doing both the ropes course and the climbing walls! I couldn’t get over the views of the river throughout our time there! Definitely added to our experience to be able to look out the windows at one of the gems that makes San Antonio so special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back."

"A fun treat after she shopped with me for 6 hours without complaining!! BEST deal recommend both ropes & rock climbing wall. Jesus at the River center location was helpful & courteous. You can pay for just the ropes or just the rock climbing just note they are in 2 separate locations but you have a wristband to tell you how long you have This was fun & great location & yes she definitely thought of this as a great TIME."
