Perfect For

Most suitable for older children (e.g., 8+) and teenagers who can appreciate the comfortable seating and in-theater dining experience. The lack of specific kid-focused amenities means it's not ideal for toddlers or very young children.
Younger children might find the pre-picked seating arrangement with potentially close front seats uncomfortable.

Ideal For

Families with older children or teenagers looking for a more upscale and comfortable movie experience.
Parents seeking a relaxed movie night where they can enjoy a drink from a full bar.
A family outing in the downtown area where the movie can be combined with other local attractions or dining.
A special treat or a quieter movie experience compared to traditional multiplexes.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Double-check all ticket dates and times carefully during purchase and upon arrival, as they have a strict no-refund policy for errors (Review 4).
  • If planning to order food or drinks, arrive well in advance of your movie start time due to potential long waits and service delays, especially at the bar (Review 3).
  • Manage expectations for food temperature and consistency; consider eating before or after if this is a primary concern (Review 3).
  • Be aware that front-row seats are pre-picked and might be uncomfortably close to the screen; choose seats further back if possible (Review 3).
  • Utilize the online booking system to secure preferred seats and minimize wait times at the venue (Review 2).
  • Explore the surrounding downtown area for dining or other activities before or after the movie to enhance the outing (Review 2).

Things to Consider

  • Potential for long wait times for food orders and bar service due to understaffing (e.g., one bartender) (Review 3)
  • Risk of food being delivered lukewarm due to service delays (Review 3)
  • Inconsistent quality of food and drinks (e.g., flat/stale wine, underwhelming veggie/fruit platter) (Review 3)
  • Cleanliness issues within the theater, including a reported gnat problem (Review 3)
  • Pre-picked seating arrangement can lead to front seats being uncomfortably close to the screen (Review 3)
  • Strict no-refund policy for ticket errors, even if staff misprints tickets (Review 4)
  • Poor customer service from management regarding ticket errors and unfulfilled promises of compensation (Review 4)

Price & Value

The value includes the comfort of reclining seats, in-theater service, and a good audio-visual experience. However, there's a potential hidden cost of paid parking (though validated). The value proposition is diminished by a strict no-refund policy for ticket errors and reported issues with food/drink quality and service, potentially leading to disappointment for the money spent. Food quality is inconsistent (pizza decent, veggie/fruit platter underwhelming).

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accommodations for special needs were mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • In-theater food ordering and delivery is available (Review 3).
  • A large variety of concessions is offered (Review 5).
  • A full bar service is available for alcoholic beverages (Reviews 2, 5).
  • Food quality can be inconsistent, with reports of lukewarm delivery and underwhelming options like the veggie/fruit platter (Review 3).

🚗Parking Info

  • Paid parking is available directly out front, which can be validated inside the theater (Review 1).

👥Crowd Levels

  • A 4:40 PM weekend screening was noted as having 'not much traffic' (Review 2), suggesting it may not always be excessively crowded during peak times, but this could vary.

🛡️Safety Features

  • No specific safety features for children or general venue safety were mentioned in the reviews.

When to Avoid

  • Families with very young children who might be sensitive to cleanliness issues or gnat problems (Review 3).
  • If you require flexibility with ticket purchases or expect refunds for errors, as their policy is strict (Review 4).
  • If you are on a tight schedule and rely on prompt in-theater food and drink service (Review 3).
  • If anyone in your group is sensitive to sitting very close to the screen, especially if you get assigned front seats (Review 3).

Clean, great atmosphere, good food and fantastic seats. You have to pay for parking out front but they will validate in the theater! It's worth the drive downtown. Very picturesque!

No complaints - enjoyed a drink at the bar; very helpful bar staff. Reserved my seat & purchased it online. I went to a 4:40PM for a weekend screening and there wasn't much traffic. Loved the comfy reclining seats and the screen and sound system were perfect. If interested, the surrounding area also offers much to do before or after the movie.

As a first-timer, I had high expectations for the Living Room Theater, but unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed. We placed our food order first as instructed, but were told there would be a wait. We decided to head to the bar, but with only one bartender on duty, it took 20 minutes to get served, causing us to miss the food delivery window. My wine was flat and seemed stale. After missing our server, we had to queue again at the food station, only to find our food lukewarm by the time we received it. The pizza was decent (7/10), but the veggie/fruit platter was underwhelming and not as fresh as it appeared (4/10). Additionally, the overall cleanliness inside the theater left something to be desired along with a gnat problem in the theater which made it difficult to enjoy our meal and drinks. I also found the pre-picked seating arrangement to be a drawback, especially since the front seats are uncomfortably close to the screen. Despite these issues, the concept of this theater is appealing, and the movie itself was enjoyable. Thank you, Living Room Theater.

Me and my spouse had never went to this establishment and we were going to experience movie watching differently. First thing is you order your tickets, picking the date you want to go so I picked Saturday and keep in mind I bought the ticket Friday. So Saturday come and we get there the guy downstairs print out our tickets not checking it to make sure it is the correct day. Once he print out our ticket’s we go up stairs. We wait in line in the concession stand a point receiving help at the concession stand they scan our ticket and there is a problem. The movie was for yesterday so we asked to speak to management when management came over. He stated that there was nothing that they could do. I can’t just leave the house and go out anytime I want to I have to be scheduled out so I had scheduled it out for me to go and as me and my fiancé was walking out and I stated I’m going to post this on the reviews he stated that he was going to send us two ticket via email and we haven’t received them I just want you guys to know that they do not do refunds. Me and my fiancé will never return to that establishment. The manager that came over to assist us was very rude and he just kept saying no no there’s nothing I can do. There’s nothing I can do.
