a month agoLoved it! Was a great time playing some old school pinball games, Arcade games such as Mortal Kombat 2 & Cruisin USS, hitting up the different booths selling all kinds of merch from a variety of games as well as Anime, and watching the Adult costume contest was hilarious!! Definitely something everyone in and around the Louisville are should go to if you're interested in video games, arcade games, anime, and a lot more!!!

2 years agoI've attended the arcade expo with my 11 year old son for the past 3 years. I'm not sure which one of us has more fun when we go. The games bring back a lot of memories for me and introduce older games to my son he might not ever have ever had the chance to play if it weren't for the expo. If you are an avid video game fan like myself or even just a casual fan I suggest that you check it out. There is a lot of fun to be had by the entire family. From pinball to Atari to Playstation and everything in between the Louisville Arcade Expo is truly an awesome event!

a year agoThis place will reveal things about you that you did not know about yourself. Let's hit the highlights: They have old video game consoles available to play on CRT TVs. You can have the nostalgic experience of playing an 80s game, on an 80s system, on an 80s TV with an 80s controller in your hand. If they had a way to microwave some Bagel Bites, in a loud Sharp microwave, wrapped in fake woodgrain, you would swear it was 1985. There are lots of classic arcade cabinet video games and everything is available to play for free. Even better than that, several of those video games are available to purchase. You could leave here with a game of your own. Oh, and pinball... there is a lot of pinball. I mean, there are so many pinball cabinets here. Enough that the average person would tell you that there are waaaaaay too many. Of course pinball players are anything BUT average, so you will probably still end up standing in line to play one. You can also find pinball games for sale here. Admit it, you read that last line and immediately tried to think of a place that you could put a pinball, if you owned one. Embrace it. Be the pinball wizard that you were born to be. I should also mention that there is a pinball raffle each year. Buy tickets to win one on Saturday. There are vendors selling cool stuff, old systems, POP! Vinyls, jewelery, stickers, swords, cosplay items. Really there is a lot. Speaking of cosplay... Yes you sure can. Dig out those Mario and Princess Peach costumes that you have hidden in your closet. Dress up like Fix it Felix, Master Chief, a Druid or a knight. Maybe you can mount your camera on a little fishing pole and film for your podcast wearing a Lakitu costume. It's all part of the experience. Anyway, there are game designers, innovative games, game play throughs, guest speakers, tournaments, repair people, dorks, collectors, spectators, and everything else here. Come and see it!

a month agoDecent selection of games and pinball, seems to be getting smaller every year yet more crowded. I think it's time this moved. Left due to crowds and cleanliness. About 15% of the games on the main floor were not working.
