2 months agoWhat a great museum - full of so many costumes and even a place where you can try them on (we didn't have time!) The Mardi Gras costumes are spectacular, fun to see up close and personal. Hoping to get back there to choose one to prance around in! Highly recommend - staff very friendly and know so much about NOLA history. Had a great time.

3 months agoMy husband and I had about 45 minutes for a quick stop at this museum and goodness was it fun. The display room is not large but the Mardi Gras costumes are fabulous and very cool to view upclose with a flashlight. Since we were the only two in the building, we were enthusiastically welcomed into their costume collection and the gentleman working even picked out a dress for me to try on, which I HAD to finish the look with a headdress. We had fun trying on a few other costume accessories, taking photos, and hearing stories about the traditions in NOLA. Loved it all!

7 months agoOur family had an amazing experience at the Mardi Gras Museum of Costumes & Culture! We spent several hours trying on the most vibrant and fun costumes, learning about the fascinating history behind Mardi Gras. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they were fantastic with our two daughters (ages 8 and 3). They made the experience so enjoyable for everyone, taking extra care to engage with our kids in a fun and educational way. This museum is a must-visit for families, both young and old. Highly recommend!
