A Royal Good Time at Medieval Times Dallas! If you're looking for a truly unique and entertaining evening in Dallas, look no further than Medieval Times! From the moment you step into the castle, you're transported to a world of knights, horses, and royal pageantry. Our group had an absolutely wonderful time. The entertainment was top-notch, with thrilling jousting matches, impressive displays of horsemanship, and a captivating storyline that kept us on the edge of our seats. The energy in the arena was infectious, and cheering for our knight was a blast! Beyond the spectacle, we were also pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. It's a fun, hands-on experience eating without utensils, and every course, from the hearty tomato bisque to the roasted chicken, was flavorful and satisfying. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their accommodating nature really made us feel like valued guests. Medieval Times in Dallas offers a fantastic blend of thrilling entertainment, surprisingly good food, and outstanding service. It's an experience that's perfect for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking for a memorable night out. We highly recommend a visit to this royal feast and battle!

My Honest Review: Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament - Fun for Some, Not for All Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament offers a unique experience that definitely hits the mark for a specific audience. If you're bringing kids, or if you genuinely enjoy themed entertainment with a heavy dose of choreographed, almost WWE-style action, then this place is likely a fantastic choice. The energy can be quite infectious if you embrace the medieval theme and the spectacle. For me, the absolute standout moment was watching the hawk fly; its precision was captivating. I also have to give credit where it's due: the performers clearly put immense time, effort, and skill into their roles, especially concerning the safety required for the jousting and swordplay. There's a real dedication on display. The overall atmosphere can be electrifying, particularly if you're really into the 11th-century vibe (Editor's Note: The show is often marketed closer to the 11th century, though the prompt mentioned 14th), looking for a completely different kind of night out, or just wanting to tick something off a bucket list. However, if you're not a fan of that "cheesy action," as I admittedly am not, other aspects might fall short. The food, based on my party's consensus and my own taste, was underwhelming. It generally lacked seasoning or distinct flavor. Personally, I thought the tomato soup was merely okay, and the corn was probably the most passable part of the meal. The biggest issue for me, though, was the sound quality. The arena suffers from significant echo and reverb, which made it genuinely difficult to follow the narrative the performers were trying to convey. It muffled dialogue and made immersing oneself in the story a challenge. Some investment in acoustic treatment to dampen the sound could potentially elevate the experience considerably, making the plot clearer and perhaps even enjoyable for those less invested in the action itself. Ultimately, Medieval Times excels as a family destination or a fun outing for kids. But if high-energy, sometimes campy, staged combat isn't your preferred style of entertainment, and if food quality or clear audio for storytelling are priorities, you might want to consider other options. Pros: Great entertainment for kids and families. Appeals to fans of themed spectacles and choreographed action. Impressive hawk flight demonstration. Performers show dedication, skill, and focus on safety. Potentially "electrifying" atmosphere for those into the theme or seeking novelty. Offers a unique experience unlike typical dinner outings. Cons: Food is generally considered subpar and lacking in flavor. Poor audio quality (echo/reverb) makes the storyline difficult to follow. The style of action ("cheesy" or WWE-like) is not enjoyable for everyone. The overall experience might not appeal to those seeking sophisticated dining or nuanced storytelling.

We had a fun time at Medieval Times overall! The actors and the show itself were fantastic — they really made the night enjoyable. The food was also pretty good, although the dessert was a bit of a letdown. However, the VIP package was very disappointing. Despite paying extra, we had to constantly turn around just to see the king and queen, which really took away from the experience. We were also served last for everything, and even though we checked in with a group, we were seated apart from them. The VIP treatment honestly felt like a joke. For two people, we spent around $200, and for that price, we expected a lot more. While we’re glad we went once, we wouldn’t return at full price. If you're thinking about going, definitely look for discounted tickets — it's a much better value that way.

I hadn't been in so long, but it's even better as an adult. Everything is worth it. Please get into it and cheer on your knight. Make your experience better by showing the knight's support. The food was great, even being denied the use of utensils, i just wish we got more bread with the tomato soup. The animals are all beautifully taken care of and well trained. No lie, I wish I had this as a job when I was in high-school. Even the pooper scooper kid gets kudos. Great atmosphere and a great time

It exceeded my expectations and it was very fun. Everyone, specially the actors, were very friendly and polite. Server did a very good job and I tipped well so I didn’t experience anything bad. The line looked long but moved very fast and there was plenty of parking. However, this was Friday at 4. The show was very entertaining and the energy in the room was amazing. The falcon show and the fight was very impressive. Everyone was having a good time. For adults, it was an opportunity to be a kid again and be loud. You eat with your hands, cheer and chant for your team or an ally. It’s also true that there are no bad seats in the arena. However, anywhere in the middle of the arena or first row is just a tad better. Usually food at events like these are below average but the chicken here was moist, the roasted potato was pretty good and the tomato soup was fun to drink in the metal bowl. The corn, toast and everything else was pretty standard. Overall, I think it’s worth every penny of the tickets. The amount of staff they employed to get everything to run smoothly, keep the arena clean, all the performers, tools and animals used for the show, makes it a great deal. Pro tip: if you are celebrating a special occasion, get the photo and ceremony package. It’s worth it. They’ll even give you a call out during the show. Also, these are stadium bench seating but with plenty of leg room and slight wider than the dickeys arena seats. However, I foresee anyone over 300lbs not fitting.
