**Memory Grove Park Review** Memory Grove Park is truly a gem, offering a unique blend of beauty, history, and outdoor adventure. Nestled near the capital, the experience of descending the stairs into the park is nothing short of breathtaking. The stunning array of monuments and remembrances dedicated to veterans adds a layer of solemnity and respect, making it a meaningful place to visit. At night, the park transforms into a magical space, beautifully illuminated and providing a serene atmosphere that’s perfect for evening strolls. For dog owners like myself, Memory Grove is an absolute delight. The park features an off-leash area where my furry friend can roam freely, which is a huge plus! The trails cater to various fitness levels, offering both road and dirt options. The dirt trail does present a bit of a challenge halfway through, but the scenic bridges over the creek provide delightful spots to take a break and let the pups hydrate. The tree cover throughout the park is another fantastic feature, ensuring that even on the hottest summer days, you can enjoy a comfortable hike. Whether you’re looking for a quick escape from the city, a peaceful place to reflect, or an enjoyable outing with your dog, Memory Grove Park is the perfect destination. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a beautiful and enriching outdoor experience!

I’ve been here numerous times. This is not a good park to play with kids as people don’t pick up after their dogs and people don’t follow the clearly marked on and off leash areas. Dog poop was everywhere. The hiking trail is decent. The memorial aspect of it is cool. There is a charm but that is diminished by the poop and negligent owners.

Very cute spot close to the Capitol building - maybe a 10 minute walk! I sat by the stream and read a book for a couple hours. Very relaxing environment, even with a lot of people around.

new coolest most favorite park. me and my friends were visiting salt lake city and we parked up by the capitol. before we went downtown earlier that day i noticed some side streets that i thought went all the way down to downtown but they just turn onto the main road up to capitol hill. thinking this i turned by city creek park on our way back up after my friends walked ahead and just went down the street. coolest mistake i ever made in my entire life. really cool houses. really cool apartment buildings. really cool parks. plants. dogs. people. shit it was just so cool. i turned around and saw a great view of the slc skyline. when i made it to the park i noticed all sorts of people who were different races, had different hair colors, styles, families, friends, etc... with all sorts of dogs, taking pictures, having picnics, and so much more. everyone just seemed so happy and to be genuinely enjoying themselves it was so harmonious. honestly the best part of my trip. i took so many pictures. i can't wait to move downtown so i can be one of these people.

The perfect place for reading "quiet" , a mindfulness or watching wonderful dogs around mid-afternoon. On any giving day maybe 100 to 125 dogs get started with socialization with anything with four legs. A " Dog is a man's best friend " adventure for sure. And numerous memorials reminding all that visit of those that gave their lives for our freedom.
