a month agoNot a mad parent but a concerned parent. All kids of every age deserve the opportunity to learn how the game of basketball should be played but most importantly play in a safe environment. To clarify, I'm talking about the encouraging of adults/coaches to intentionally hurt other players and take no accountabilty. What I don't see is anyone at MA advocating or enforcing safe play nor monitoring for unsafe behavior. Appears that refs are extremely poor in their ability to properly ref or know the game, leading to yeah, bad calls, which is going to happen, but more importantly leading to kids getting hurt. My kid has gone here for a few years now and it worsens every year. Just make the kids a priority, that is why you have a business. Take the time and invest into training and monitoring of actions both on and off the court. Address parent behaviors with positive but stern expectations. Be relentless when it comes to kid safety. Do BETTER MA! Your community demands it.

3 weeks agoThe parking situation is basically a consumer protection violation in my opinion. The number of teams (and inevitable spectators) invited to participate in a volleyball tournament was way beyond the capacity of the facility’s parking to accommodate. This led to dozens of cars circling like frustrated and hungry sharks. This was not a “one-off” problem, but apparently a standard practice. The person taking the $12/person admission fee has a sign that says, “Yes, I am aware parking sucks.” Irresponsible and borderline deceptive to run a business (only accessible by driving) this way.

2 months agoWent to watch a grandchild play a basketball game. Had to pay $20 for 2 of us to watch a kids game for 45 minutes. I watched kids slip and slide all over the place. Several got called for traveling when they tried to stop and slid 2 or 3 feet across the floor. I guess Mid America will start to clean the floors after they get sued when someone gets badly hurt! I will never give that joint a dime again to watch a game, and I would discourage anyone from booking games at this facility.

5 months agoIt's a nice facility for kids but it's pretty greedy on their part to charge $5 per parent to come watch their kids playing games. It's very busy with crowded parking and uncomfortable seating. It's just excessive charges for a 1 hour event to watch your kids.

5 months agoIf I could give a negative star I would. The staff at the check in desk are nasty and rude. They are disrespectful to the kids and the people as they walk in the door. One lady with glasses that works the front yelled at two kids they were just standing there not knowing where to go and today yelled at a few adults. I saw her yesterday yelling at a coach. The facility is ran down and to charge $7 for an adult and $4 for a kid to watch a 24 minute game is horrible. I can handle the facility but can you please hire people that are respectful and act like they want to be there to work.
