6 months agoLove this place! It's absolutely beautiful and has plenty of space even when busy. We saw Shakespeare in the park and bought chairs and some food the atmosphere was very relaxing some people's picnics were very elaborate and it was cool to see. We were towards the middle on the left and we could see and hear just fine. It was free and so was the parking and I think they even sold snacks and stuff. Definitely worth checking out.

6 months agoI love the Miller Outdoor Theater. Amazing shows for free!! We saw Macbeth last year and A Midsummer Night’s Dream last night. The actors are amazing, the sets and costuming are creative, and it’s honestly just wonderfully funny. Obviously it will be pretty warm and humid in the summer, but it’s still nice :) I recommend getting there a little early and buying tickets at the window so you can have reserved seats! If you’re sitting on the lawn, bring a lawn chair :)

4 months agoAwesome place to attend free events across various arts. They have both seated section close to the stage which is not free but the lawn behind on the hill is free. So you can grab a picnic basket and a blanket and enjoy the performances on the hill with your partner and family. Stroller and pet friendly as well. It can get pretty crowded on a beautiful evening so be prepared but enough space for all. FYI don’t forget your big sprays if you decide to sit near the grass lawn areas

6 months agoThe events hosted here are always an amazing experience! Really well done plays that are free to the public! Great for a family event or a date. The concession stand has good food too! Check out the event scheduled online.

7 months agoLoved the fireworks at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park! We parked at a nearby lot for free, walked about a mile, arrived around 9:20, fireworks started at 10 and ended around 10:30pm. It was HOT, but thankfully there was a bit of a breeze. Lots of concession stands. Next year I will be better prepared with a towel for sweat and water, but lawn chairs and blankets aren't really necessary on the fake grass unless you're planning to stay a few hours.
