💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Prepare for a significant walk (minimum 10 minutes) from parking; park along streets by the 'Pru' and use the footbridge over the highway.
  • Bring all necessary supplies, including water, snacks, and personal care items, as there are no restrooms or other facilities nearby.
  • Consider packing bug spray, especially during warmer months, due to the tree cover and proximity to water.
  • Dress in layers, as the park's location along the water can make it windy.
  • If you have very young children or limited mobility, be aware of the walking distance from parking.

Things to Consider

  • Significant lack of facilities nearby, specifically restrooms and potential food/drink options.
  • Parking is not close; requires parking across a highway by the Pru and a minimum 10-minute walk over a footbridge.
  • Can be windy due to its location along the water and bike/run path.
  • Expect bugs, especially given the trees and proximity to water.
  • Presence of noticeable road noise, despite being a 'getaway' from downtown.

Price & Value

This is a free public park, offering excellent value with its diverse play structures, distinct age-separated areas, educational features, and scenic views, despite the logistical challenges related to access and facilities.

  • Outside food and drinks are implied to be necessary as there is a "lack of facilities nearby"; no specific restrictions mentioned.

🚗Parking Info

  • Difficult and distant: all close parking is on the other side of a highway, requiring parking along streets by the 'Pru' and a minimum 10-minute walk over a footbridge to reach the play area.

Great park with two areas, one for toddlers and one for older kids, large play areas and lots of activities in the modules. Slides, swings, musical busy boards, etc. Nice informative and educative panels added in 5-12 to area. Along the water and the bike/run path so may be windy. Fenced in. Lots of trees, great for shade, expect bugs. Lack of facilities nearby.

The playground is split into two sections, older kids on one side and toddlers on the other. It's a nice playground to "get away" from downtown but there's also quite a bit of road noise too. Beautiful views on the river are worth a stop to this playground.

Playground: big, newer, partly shaded, plenty of space, and stunning view of the Charles. But don’t try to get here If you’re not up for an adventure and a work out. All close parking is on the other side of the highway, so you have to park along the streets by the Pru and take the foot bridge over to the play area. 10 min walk min. Also I didn’t see any restrooms nearby.
