This is a beautiful place to visit. I highly recommend a guided tour for a few extra dollars to learn the history, different habitats, and how this place came about. This nature center offers tranquility and is very well-maintained. You get to see large sturgeons, a replica of the largest Eagle nest ever discovered, and many more. The mosaics along the pathway are impressive and so was a replica of the Petroglyphs (Celebration Park is where you’ll see the real ones). A lot of Idaho history to absorb. Special Thanks to the volunteers/staff, Claire and Frankie. These ladies were very knowledgeable in their presentations and kept me entertained.

My hubby and I loved walking the park. It was so beautiful and peaceful. It was so fun to see the fish exhibits! I only wish I had the gkids with us. They would love it. So educational for everyone. The staff at the visitors center is top notch. Friendly and helpful.

This is a place of tranquility with an abundance of nature nestled right in the heart of Boise. You have walking paths throughout the park, benches to sit and observe birds & fishing ponds to look through as the fish swim eagerly as you observe their movements in the water. Occasionally deer will meander through the nature center as well looking for food. A huge replica of an eagles nest awaits for you to climb into as well. Mini waterfalls and creeks cut though the trails. Bring young ones and your family to enjoy this nature center. Nestled in between the green belt and the park. Bring food for a picnic or a barbecue afterwards. Then enjoy the river alongside the greenbelt. This nature center will be enjoyed for many years for future generations for all to enjoy!

I’m not sure if this is a hidden gem for locals, but as someone visiting from out of town, I was blown away! The sturgeon are truly massive. Photos and videos do not do them justice. Equally as impressive was the art all throughout the center. In fact, the entire design of the place was stunning! I was not expecting so many windows that allowed me to see fish and other critters. While the inside of the place was closed, walking around was enough. The rushing water and swaying trees throughout the walk make it a tranquil experience. Other highlights include a giant fake eagle’s nest and petroglyphs. Exceeded my expectations by a thousand and I hope it does for you too.

This nature center is a must-visit while in Boise! It’s a very relaxing and quiet place to enjoy a morning walk. The trails are well-maintained and offer beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. You can hear the roar of the river stream, which adds to the peaceful scene.
