3 months agoWe brought 2 almost 3 year olds without knowing what to expect. They had so much fun. There is one big truck that the kids can climb in and push buttons and "drive" and then there are a couple other interactive experiences like going down a pole, cranking a pump, steering a ladder, etc. The boys could have played there all day. *one note- the kids had big toy envy of the little model trucks in the glass cases. If there were some toy engines for sale, it would have been the perfect souvenir to take home.

3 months agoFantastic museum! Very hands on and interactive for kids. There were fun firefighter boots, hats, pants, and coats for kids to wear, which both our kids loved. There was an old firetruck kids can climb on and "drive," lots of fascinating exhibits of interest to all ages. Friendly and experienced staff. Our 3 year old spent 2.5 hours there and didn't want to leave!

a year agoWe had an amazing experience throwing our three year old’s birthday party here! It was a perfect and easy spot to let the kiddos run around and play on the fire trucks and try on the gear, while pizza and snacks were set up in the hall. It also felt great to support such a special place. Thank you for creating so much joy for our little ones!

10 months agoAmazing use of the space. Not over whelming with items stacked on items. Very neat and tidy displays and information. Must read the story boards from the 2007 bridge collapse!

8 months agoA hidden gem. In a somewhat sketchy part of town, but this is a very well done museum. They have things that will appeal to both experts and novices on things relating to fire departments. They have about eight meticulously restored fire engines from various periods, plus every piece of equipment from over time you can imagine. The employees are experts on the equipment and the history of Minnesota fire department history. But what really sold me was how kid friendly the place is. If you have a kid from age 2-8, they will love it. They have mini fire fighter outfits to wear, fire poles to slide down, real fire engines to sit in and operate the lights. The only unfortunate thing is that they are only open one weekend day every two weeks. We lucked out.
