My son has been going to this camp for 3 years, the best summer program in the valley hands down. full day itinerary, different camps, provided lunches, field trips and fun. He’s excited to be a JR camp counselor in the up coming years

We love Monarch Camp! My daughter (6) attended all summer and really got a lot out of it. The camp's been around a long time, so they've got it all down pat. The counselors are all well-trained, young, friendly and energetic. They all seemed to know my daughter's name. The complimentary before- and after-care was important to me as a working parent, because so many of the other camps I looked at didn't accommodate my working schedule (Out at 3:00? GMAB). Monarch is a little more expensive than the camps that don't have a pool, but the pool was so important to us. And they make it affordable with a very easy and convenient payment plan. The administration is great at communication and responds promptly to emails, listens to feedback and tries to resolve any issues that may occur. They were very helpful with accommodating a couple of early pickups we had to do at the last minute. The weekly field trips were amazing! All the great kids places that I don't have time to take her to. Now I don't have to, because she got to go with Camp! I also really like that at pickup the children were all having fun enjoying largely unsupervised free play. Not every moment of their day needs to be micromanaged! Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of counselors around keeping an eye on things. But nobody was telling the kids what to do and how to play during the aftercare portion of the day. I never had trouble finding my child at pickup (except for the one time she was in the bathroom). They are all in clearly-marked tents with their age groups. Like I said, they've got this down to a science. We chose to do the classic day camp instead of a specialty camp because we wanted her to have a well-rounded experience where she got to try a lot of different things. The fact that they swim twice a day (class/practice in the morning and then a "free swim" in the afternoon) was important to me because I really wanted my daughter to become a strong, confident swimmer and she DID. Next year, though, she wants to do Tumbling camp. She'll still get to do the free swim in the afternoon, so she'll get the best of both worlds. I'm so happy and relieved that she can go to Monarch Camp all summer and have a blast while being safe and looked after by loving professionals.

My 8 yo son went to four weeks of Monarch Summer Camp this year and he had a great time. It was well-organized. The counselors were good. There were no activities he didn't like. He did Aquatics, Basketball, and Soccer camps (no field trips). They played the sports in the morning and did other fun activities in the afternoon. His favorite was the diving in Aquatics camp. As a parent, I liked that the security at pick-up was better than other camps. One day my son hit his head and the camp EMT was with him right away, called me, and handled it very professionally. We needed early pick-up twice a week and they were helpful with that and did not charge us for it. A bonus was the swim lessons in Aquatics. In two weeks we saw a big improvement in his swimming ability and he learned the flip turns.

We are very pleased with Monarch Camps. We came across Monarch while researching camps in the valley after receiving a recommendation from a friend. I took a tour last summer and was sold! The camp is safe and well-organized and orchestrated. All staff members and volunteers are super welcoming, caring, and helpful. They use new, state-of-the-art gyms, equipment, and rooms (rock wall, gymnastics gym, etc.) Traditional day camps and specific sports camps are offered. In the summer, children learn to swim twice a day and are lead and closely supervised by skilled, nurturing staff. Children are grouped according to their ages. Our daughter was very happy attending Monarch! She enjoyed the time she spent there making new friends, singing camp songs, doing fun activities, and learning from her counselors. We are definitely returning, and cannot wait for our son to join too. They will have so much fun together there!

My older son has been going to Monarch since kindergarten. I moved here from the east coast and was nervous about finding a camp he'd like, especially since everything was so new. We both fell in love! There is a ton of variety and I love the swimming twice a day. The counselors are very fun and always lively. And field trips are always a blast. I really believe this camp helped my son become more independent. As a side note: I love that they always have options during winter/spring, days off, etc. and early drop off to accommodate working parents.
