"Mount Bonnell offers a fantastic family outing with stunning views of the city and the Colorado River. This historic landmark, named after an early Texas newspaper publisher, provides a glimpse into Austin's past. The scenic hike to the top, while moderately challenging, is well worth the effort. The panoramic vistas from the summit are breathtaking and perfect for family photos. It's a great place to spend an afternoon, enjoying nature and creating lasting memories."

"We found ourselves here at a very busy time of the day… an hour before sunset. Apparently this is an amazing place to watch the burning ball go down in the evening. We wandered around for a while and then found a place along the fence line. This is a very pretty area to walk around and look out over the river. Definitely stop by here if you find yourself in the area. I would imagine it is for sure busy every nice day around sunset time."
