11 months agoReview of my son’s 5 year old birthday party. The pavilion and surrounding is amazing, feels so natural. Just pull some banners and table cloths your party will be ready! (No balloons allowed) The reptile program was really educational, fun and eye opening. Eric made it fun and full of knowledge, there’s even a real snake to pet. Nobody has bothered us for the whole time that we feel exclusive of the whole area, peaceful and joyful!

2 months agoVery nice relaxing spot. Great for kids. The building sometimes opens and has books, animals, and activities for the kids. It does run story time and group activities to learn about nature. Very nice trails, that are not super big for little ones.

5 years agoI visited this location as part of a Where's Waldo search for local businesses. The property is well landscaped with adequate parking. The paths on the grounds appeal to all ages, and there are restrooms and administration rooms on both floors of the main building. The activity rooms display numerous taxidermy items at varied heights. However, this building is more geared towards families with younger children; a toddler gate guards the top of the stairs to help safeguard overly eager and independent visitors. There was a birthday party in the larger downstairs activity room during my visit, and the employee took particularly diligent care in her interactive wildlife discussion to keep both the children and parents engaged. She introduced the group to a variety of live creatures in a safe and controlled manner. She also led the group on a nature hike that concluded at the picnic area for the actual party. During my exploration of the building and the grounds, I was able to observe various natural habitats and animal enclosures. I had a peacefully wonderful walk on the paths, which was well shaded. I passed several gates to the grounds, a playground, and viewing areas with paired benches at strategic locations. My walk took about 30 minutes. I plan to take a more leisurely walk of the grounds in the near future.
