a month agoI enrolled my 6-year-old son in Natureversity over Spring Break, and it has truly been an incredible experience for him—and for us as parents. From the moment he started, he has been completely engaged, curious, and excited to share everything he’s learning. Each day he comes home full of stories about exploring the outdoors and learning real life skills. It’s been such a blessing to see his confidence grow as he gains hands-on experience with nature and practical skills. Beyond the learning, my husband and I have noticed such a positive shift in his overall attitude. He’s more respectful, calm, and emotionally steady. I truly believe being immersed in nature and learning in this environment has helped ground him. How could it not? The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. They help introduce the outdoors to campers in a manner that makes nature feel less intimidating than what they (and their parents) may have anticipated. The instructors lead by example and showcase how to respect their environment while also encouraging thoughtful exploration. I can’t recommend this camp enough—it’s been the best kind of adventure for our son, and the growth we’ve seen in him has been more than inspiring.

a year agoThere are several options for outdoor-oriented camps and classes in the area and we are beyond thrilled to have gone with Natureversity for summer camp. Our kid requested to return next year - after the first day. We had complete confidence in the safety of the campers, the counselors were kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about working outdooors with kids. The experience is structured enough to be informative and engaging while still leaving space for the kids to just explore and be in nature. Can’t recommend enough!

2 years agoThis is a fantastic way to get your kids outside and exploring nature in a creative yet simple way. The owner Chris is incredibly responsive to all of my questions. My kids have talked about going back to this camp for another week this summer and we planned the rest of their camps around it! I also really like that there are different age groups simultaneously at camp at the same time and near one another, but doing different activities.

6 years agoChris' program is amazing! Our son and daughter have been in many of Chris Hyde's programs over the past 7 years. He makes everything fun, interactive, and memorable. The skills they have learned have included shelter-building, cooking, camouflage, tracking, plant and animal identification, wilderness awareness, fire-making, outdoor safety, first aid, water purification, archery, primitive tool making, and so much more. Chris is constantly improving his own education, and passing that cutting-edge and primitive knowledge onto his students. He makes being outside a positive and amazing experience in all types of weather. I trust Chris with my kids. He is smart, kind, and a natural teacher! He keeps education fun and age-appropriate for all ages from young children through adults. I can't recommend him and Natureversity enough!

6 years agoMy family has taken classes with Chris Hyde for 6 years now. I have 2 children ages 10 and 11 who love natureversity! They have acquired so many different skills from making bow drills, animal traps, plant identification, animal tracking to tincture making and fire and shelter building. Not only has Chris helped my kids learn and appreciate the natural world around them, he has instilled a sense of confidence in them that is apparent when they are outdoors. Natureversity's adult classes are also very cool. I have taken a basket weaving class and it was very fun. I will be taking more classes in the near future. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge for the natural world.
