• • Guests are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks to consume during their visit.
• • Glass containers or bottles are prohibited.
• • Policy regarding outside food and drinks may differ at nighttime ticketed events.
• • No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.
• • Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by persons 21 years of age or older with legal identification. Sales terminate at the sole discretion of Zoo management.
• • Consumption of marijuana or any illegal drug is not permitted on Zoo grounds.

🛡️Safety Policy

• • All guests must abide by the Los Angeles Zoo Code of Conduct for a safe and enjoyable experience, and for the safety of animals and staff.
• • Guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards other guests, staff, animals, and the Zoo facility.
• • Prohibited behaviors: unsafe, illegal, disruptive, or offensive behavior, intoxication, throwing projectiles, littering, displaying inappropriate public affection, fighting, using profanity, harassment of animals, guests, or staff.
• • Do not feed or attempt to feed/contact any animals (including wild animals), except where part of an organized event.
• • Failing to follow written or verbal instructions of staff or directions of each area/attraction is prohibited.
• • Remain on public pathways at all times; never cross barriers, climb fencing, or attempt to enter exhibits, planters, or landscaping.
• • Sticking arms/fingers through fences/barriers, climbing on/over exhibit handrails/fencing (including holding children in such a manner), or entering planters/landscaping (even for photos) is prohibited and may result in expulsion.
• • Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Clothing/accessories with profanity or affiliation with violent/criminal/hate-based groups are prohibited. Management reserves the right to deny admission or remove persons with inappropriate attire.
• • Smoking of any kind (including e-cigarettes) is not allowed inside the Zoo; restricted to designated spaces outside (e.g., parking lot). Re-entry for smoking requires a hand stamp.
• • Recreational devices (drones, remote control toys, flying discs, balls, kites, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, inline skates, bicycles, shoes with built-in wheels) are prohibited.
• • Weapons of any kind (guns, knives, pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns) and objects that appear to be weapons (including toys) are prohibited, unless otherwise permitted by guidelines.
• • Confetti, piñatas, silly string, glitter, streamers, or similar airborne materials are prohibited.
• • Noisemaking devices (whistles, air horns) are prohibited.
• • Any illegal substances or items deemed harmful/disruptive by Zoo management are prohibited.
• • The Zoo reserves the right to prohibit any bag, parcel, or other item to be brought into the Zoo and to deal with unattended objects as appropriate.
• • All persons, bags, parcels, clothing, and other items may be subject to screening/security checks at entry and within grounds.
• • Removing anything from Zoo grounds (decor items, plants, signage, Zoo strollers/wheelchairs) is prohibited.
• • Distributing or displaying unapproved printed or recorded materials is prohibited.
• • Unauthorized sale (or display) of goods or services is prohibited.
• • Swimming, wading, or engaging in activities on Zoo ponds or any other bodies of water is prohibited.
• • Cutting, picking, damaging or disturbing any tree, shrub, flower, planting, or flower bed is prohibited.
• • Making a fire in any area or facility is prohibited.
• • Using any portion of any facility for toilet or sanitary purposes except public restrooms is prohibited.
• • Digging, burying, erecting, building, uncovering, placing, or removing any object or excavation of any kind is prohibited.
• • Vandalizing, marking, or carving graffiti on any tree, shrub, planting, or other physical property is prohibited.
• • Storing any materials or equipment of any kind without the approval of the Zoo is prohibited.

📅Booking Policy

• • Tickets on sale now; reservations for general admission are implied by 'Reserve tickets and learn what to expect during your visit'.
• • The Zoo may, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change operating hours, close parts of the Zoo, restrict access, and/or suspend or cancel attractions/programs if circumstances require.
• • The Zoo does not issue rain checks or refunds.

• • Accessible parking spaces require a valid Disabled Person (DP) parking placard.
