Things to Consider
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: Children (e.g., a 7-year-old and other smaller girls) were ignored by coaches, sat on sidelines, not helped, and excluded from performances, causing distress.
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: Grossly unorganized, poorly run, and unprofessional with frequent coach changes (4-5 different coaches in one season), leading to a lack of progress and repetitive basic moves.
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: Lacks a clear curriculum or structure, resulting in perceived 'nonsense' sessions and the excuse of 'just having fun' covering for a lack of direction.
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: Coaching quality is highly criticized, with reports of unqualified replacements (e.g., a high school student) after coaches quit frequently under the owner's leadership.
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: Sessions were reportedly shortened, lasting only 20-30 minutes instead of the quality time paid for.
- ⚠Cheer program specifically: The program owner (Coach Rodger) is described as unprofessional, dismissive, disrespectful to staff in front of parents, and blaming children for lack of progress, with an apparent focus on money over child development.
- ⚠A strict no-refund policy applies to all programs, meaning parents must be fully committed regardless of program quality or experience.
- ⚠Poor communication with last-minute notifications and inconsistent scheduling, requiring parents to accommodate program changes.
- ⚠The cheer program is described as overpriced given the reported lack of quality and structure.

General sports programs are perceived as fitting family needs for teaching basics and sportsmanship, but the no-refund policy is a significant downside. The cheer program is described as 'grossly overpriced' and a 'waste of every penny' due to reported disorganization, lack of quality, and shortened sessions.

a month agoDon’t do this program! -1000 stars Made a 7 year old cry because she did not get to participate. Disgusting!! What programs does this to a little kids in cheer.! My daughter was excited to do cheer. She was ignored the whole time! The coach focused on the older and taller kids. My daughter was sat on the side lines the coach paid her no mind the whole time she was there, and she never helped her like she did the other girls. The last cheer she was sat out and was not allowed to perform, the one other smaller girl was also sat out of last performance. I want my money back from this scam and joke of a program. Do not do this!!!! Spend money on an actual program.

a year agoNzone sports Central Texas is a great way for the kids to to get active and have fun while burning off that extra energy the little ones seem to have. ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ I love how they have different experience levels we're on our third season with Nzone. from beginner learning the basics to more experience players. Only downside is there's no refund so make sure you're committed. But for right now this fits our family needs of teaching our children how play and have good sportsmanship but eventually we will be looking for something more advanced when my child reaches that level. It's a great start though.

5 months agoWe couldn’t be happier with our experience at Nzone Sports Centex! The coaches are fantastic—always interacting with the kids, helping them develop their skills, and making each session fun. They really create a positive, welcoming environment, and it’s clear they care about the kids’ growth both on and off the field. My child loved every activity, and we look forward to returning. I highly recommend it to other parents looking for a great sports program!

4 months agoIf I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I feel compelled to warn other parents to avoid NZone Sports, especially their cheer program, at all costs! YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING A REFUND!! This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with ANY youth program. I deeply regret every penny spent. From the beginning, this program was an unorganized mess. My 4-year-old brought home a flyer from school, and we thought it would be a fun activity for her. What a mistake. The program is grossly overpriced, disorganized, poorly run, and completely unprofessional. How are children supposed to learn anything when they’ve had 4-5 different coaches throughout a single season? Each new coach restarts with basic moves, erasing any progress. It’s clear there’s no curriculum, no structure, and no consistency. Rather than teaching real skills or building confidence, the program hides behind the excuse of “just having fun,” which is a cover for its lack of direction. My daughter often didn’t even want to attend, and I found myself bribing her to show up, knowing we couldn’t get our money back. Their communication is terrible! They let you know things at the last minute and expect you to accommodate their schedule, yet they consistently fail to start on time. Sessions often ended up being only 20-30 minutes of complete nonsense instead of the quality we were paying for. The root of the problem is Coach Rodger, the program’s owner. He’s unprofessional, dismissive, and openly disrespectful to his staff in front of parents. Rather than taking accountability for his poorly run program, he made excuse after excuse, even blaming the children: “There’s only so much you can teach a 4-year-old.” That’s laughable because my daughter has participated in other programs where she learned an entire choreographed routine. Coaches quit constantly under his leadership, leaving the kids with unqualified replacements. For most of the season, the only consistent coach was a high school student who may have been trying her best but was clearly unprepared for the role. This is not the standard of quality you expect for the money charged. Rodger’s actions make it clear that he doesn’t care about the kids, the program, or even his staff. His only priority is making money. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disaster. Seek out a sports organization that values your child’s development, has a clear and structured curriculum, and treats both parents and staff with respect. This program has been nothing but a frustrating, disappointing waste of time, energy, and money.
