O. P. Schnabel Park

A hidden gem in the city! O.P. Schnabel Park offers a beautiful escape with its winding paved trails through dense cedar and oak trees. The park is teeming with wildlife - it's common to spot deer wandering through the wooded areas, especially in the quieter morning or evening hours. The well-maintained concrete paths are wheelchair and stroller accessible, while still preserving the natural feel of the environment. Love how the trees create beautiful dappled shadows on the paths, and the mix of cedars and deciduous trees provides year-round interest. Plenty of smaller trails branch off the main path if you want to explore deeper into the woods. The park is clean and well-maintained while still keeping its natural, untamed charm. Pro tip: Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best chance to see wildlife and enjoy the golden sunlight filtering through the trees. Walking is nice and easy. Nothing too hard. Biking is way too easy, easy packed trails maybe a few hills/climbs. But definitely greens. Park is well taken care of. The woods have little huts that people collectively build over time.

Great walking trail experience. One of the best entrances to the Greenway if you want to spot lots of wildlife especially deer. They had police and monitors riding along the trail at different intervals and everybody was friendly but kept to themselves.

This park is beyond words! Beautiful fields for playing sports, immaculate ymca center, Beautiful,fun,and CLEAN splash pad!! The trails are beautiful and clean well maintained. Love this park

OP Schnabel has great trails, it's clean and family friendly.
