Out of Hand produces the most provocative performances in Atlanta. The current offering, Shaking the Wind, is not to be missed--it's coming to a living room near you so get your tickets now. Their Creative Kids program brings theater arts training to schools in the city--this is a group that demands support, both in donations, and theater ticket buying.

While I have never personally attended an Out Of Hand Theater activity, I love the concept behind their vision statement. I believe they are a group that is diligently working towards the betterment of our future as a community. They want to educate and inform the public in ways that reach a bigger audience by providing underserved areas and people with the knowledge and skills they need to make an impact.

I love the work that Out of Hand Theater is doing to improve the community. They make the subjects of racial injustice, health inequity, anti-racism more approachable. I love the concept of gathering around food and having open conversations and recognizing that while they are uncomfortable, they are important. Keep up the great work!

Out of Hand Theater is a great organization that promotes community development and social justice. I really like that they have a Facebook group on anti-racism and raising awareness. People are able to share stories, discuss issues, & support other's within their community. Overall, you can really tell they care about helping fight for social justice and providing for/educating potentially at-risk children.

This weekend's performance of Shaking the Wind was phenomenal! The play is well written and Minka's performance is amazing. She sings as easily as most of us breathe and she sounds heavenly. Minka fully embodies each of the (at least) ten characters she plays in her one woman show. Lastly, I was a little skeptical about a "living room performsnce" but I actually loved it. Do yourself a favor and see this performance before it ends!
