6 months agoFantastic membership plan for kayaks/paddleboard. BUT the response turnaround on reported issues is dismal. I signed up 3 weeks ago and immediately reported issues w "inactive kayaks" at Kiosk. 3 weeks have passed and no reply or fixing issues. Perfectly functional kayaks are locked at Kiosk and noone can use them. Very frustrating. Based on response by owner, the "inactive" kayaks are sitting on dock locked and unused. One would be hard pressed to believe u don't want to make existing equipment available for rental while already at premises. Even if new equipment is in the pipeline. Customer service never mentioned that excuse. Only that technical issues were being addressed.

a month agoI took a kayak and my brother took a paddleboard, and we had a really good time out on the water. One complaint I did have was that we had was that I had a difficult time returning my kayak as it wouldn’t lock back into place. I had to call customer support otherwise I would’ve been charged overtime. Customer support was really kind and helpful though and helped me solve the problem. If you go, go early, otherwise you might not find enough paddleboards/kayaks available.

4 months agoWhat a MAJOR let down. Was super excited to go for a sunset kayak with the fam using PADL services. We took the 50 min drive and got to the location with NO ONE on site. We were super confused as we went to the address on the booking, so we called the company and they told us that we were at the wrong location. Sooooooo we tried the new address and there was no one there + no kayaks… We then when back to the original location where there were kayaks to see if the employee was gone or if we missed something. Eventually we got on the phone with a representative from paddle, who gave us a sorry excuse that they 1. Didn’t see our booking bc we went through a 3rd party service (although we did book 4 days prior) 2. That we got unlucky bc the employee that was supposed to be at the location called in sick “very” last minute and that they wouldn’t be able to help us. To make matters worse they didn’t give us credit and couldn’t refund us on the spot, so now we’re left in a limbo where we very much feel that our refund is going to be difficult to come by. All in all, very poor service and a bad business model. I cannot recommend using this company.

2 years agoFirst time using PADL and it was pretty simple to use. This area itself is great for paddlebording, very calm waters and not much boat traffic. My wife and I are novices and the waters were not intimidating at all. The old stadium is cool to paddle near to see the artwork. Overall great experience.

a year agoAlways calm in the protected marine stadium harbour. Great to get photos of the stadium or to paddle board to the little island at the mouth of the harbour next to rusty pelican
