a month agoI absolutely loved our experience at the Insectarium! Everything was beautiful and educational. The wonderful lady who works there was extremely kind and willing to engage and teach us and let us be and explore. This was one of the coolest experiences we've had. Thank you! Oooh!!! And they have fun little local artist made gifts for sale! I love my scorpion earrings!!

4 months agoAdorable little educational space! Katie was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us see all of the insects and arachnids. Go hold some cute bugs and learn a thing or two!

in the last weekWe've gone twice and handled several bugs, including Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Praying Mantis, and Tarantulas. We have learned so much during every visit, the folks working here are very knowledgeable and very friendly. If you have kids that are into bugs, or if you are interested in them, or heck, even if you're not and are looking for something fun to do, this is the place to go! Just make sure to buy tickets in advance for special events if you plan on doing more than just looking. I've included photos of my new jumping spider pet that I learned to take care of by going to this place. It lives in a terrarium that was purchased here too. We've since gone a third time for their Isopod Workshop and had a blast, and got to go home with Isopods! This place is great, we love it!!!

a month agoSome of my children love insects and the rest are a little squeamish but I’d have to say they all had a great time! We met Jessica and she’s sweet and genuine. We ended the day playing Bingo and they all loved it.

2 months agoMy 9-yo son and I visited the insectarium for the first time today and got to stay extra long since they weren’t busy in the middle of the day today. We had a fabulous time! My son asked question after question, and Jessica taught us about so many different creatures as she answered his questions and showed us different insects, scorpions, etc. It was fun to interact with the creatures, hold a few, and see things under the microscope (such as an antlion larvae molt and an insect wing). If you go with some curiosity and a readiness to explore and learn, this is a delightful museum to experience. It is in a relatively small room, but getting to explore with such a knowledgeable guide was a real gift. In fact, my son said it felt only 5 minutes had passed when we had been there for about an hour. We still have more to see and learn next time we visit.
