Expert Summary

Detailed Insights

Radiant Gymnastics presents a mixed experience. While some families praise specific 'kind' and 'amazing' coaches like Coach Abby and Francesca, and enjoy the weekly 'kids open gym' for its regular activity, multiple long-term customers report severe and systemic issues. These concerns include egregious billing errors (overcharging, inability to cancel, continued charges for non-attendance), alarming lack of facility cleanliness (dirty bathrooms, equipment, and a reported case of ringworm), poor injury reporting by 'very young' coaches, and inconsistent adult supervision leading to children waiting around in classes.

Key Highlights

  • Coach Abby is adored by children, indicating a strong positive connection with certain instructors.
  • Francesca is described as very kind and helpful, particularly for returning families and initial assistance.
  • Some coaches are generally praised as 'amazing'.
  • Offers a popular 'kids open gym' almost every week, suggesting a valued drop-in option.

Standout Features

  • Specific staff members like Francesca and Coach Abby are noted for their exceptional kindness and positive interaction with children.
  • Weekly 'kids open gym' provides a consistent recreational option for families.

Perfect For

Caters to multiple age groups, as reviewers mention 'daughter,' 'youngest daughter,' and '3 kids' attending, as well as 'kids open gym.' Specific age ranges are not provided.

Ideal For

Families specifically seeking a weekly open gym activity.
Children who respond well to and adore specific 'kind' coaches, provided these coaches are consistently available.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • **Verify Billing:** Parents should meticulously review all charges and be prepared for potential billing discrepancies and a need for persistent follow-up if issues arise.
  • **Injury Protocol:** In case of injury, immediately demand a detailed incident report and ensure all documentation is provided, as coaches may not proactively report incidents or understand their severity.
  • **Assess Cleanliness:** Conduct a quick check of the facility, especially bathrooms and equipment, upon arrival to gauge current hygiene standards.
  • **Manage Class Expectations:** Be aware that classes may have grown, leading to children spending significant time waiting for their turn.

Things to Consider

  • **Billing Discrepancies:** Multiple reports of overcharging, inability to correctly process or break down payments, and continued charging for non-attending children after cancellation requests.
  • **Unresponsive Customer Service:** Voicemails left unanswered and no response to requests to drop classes.
  • **Facility Cleanliness & Hygiene:** Gym equipment is reported as not clean and needing scrubbing/vacuuming. Bathrooms are consistently dirty, often out of soap, and one instance of 'dried feces' on the toilet was reported. A child contracted ringworm, which a doctor attributed to unclean gym equipment.
  • **Injury Reporting & Coach Experience:** Coaches (described as 'very young') allegedly failed to report a child's injury or provide an incident report until escalated, suggesting a lack of understanding regarding injury severity and proper protocol.
  • **Coach Consistency & Engagement:** High coach turnover, with coaches 'changing every single week'. Teenage instructors are sometimes observed chatting with each other instead of actively interacting with kids.
  • **Class Management:** Classes have grown to the point where kids spend a majority of the class time standing around waiting for their turn.
  • **Lack of Adult Supervision:** Concerns about the absence of adults with authority, with mostly teens present, particularly after the owner's reported disappearance.

Price & Value

The value for money is highly questionable due to systemic billing issues, including overcharging, difficulty in processing payments, and continued charges for non-attending children. One reviewer explicitly stated they moved to another gym (despite a 30-minute drive) due to these issues, indicating a poor value proposition despite geographical convenience.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accommodations for special needs are mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • No information regarding food and drink policies is provided in the reviews.

🚗Parking Info

  • No information regarding parking is provided in the reviews.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Classes are reported to have grown, leading to kids spending a majority of class time standing around waiting, suggesting potentially crowded class environments.

🛡️Safety Features

  • **Negative:** Significant concerns regarding hygiene (unclean equipment, dirty bathrooms linked to ringworm), which poses a direct health risk. Coaches described as 'very young' potentially lacking understanding of injury severity and failing to report incidents. Lack of authoritative adult supervision, with only teens present, is also a reported concern.
  • **Positive:** No specific safety features are explicitly highlighted as positive.

When to Avoid

  • If you prioritize consistent, high standards of facility cleanliness and hygiene to prevent health risks like ringworm.
  • If you require accurate, reliable billing and responsive customer service for account management and cancellations.
  • If you expect experienced coaches who proactively report injuries, provide detailed incident reports, and maintain consistent supervision.
  • If you are looking for highly structured classes with minimal waiting time and a strong adult authority presence.
  • If you are concerned about high staff turnover affecting class quality and consistency.

Francesca is amazing! I’ve been bringing my daughter here since 2022 and she initially helped me. We had to pause and come back and she was so helpful, very kind. My daughter adores Coach Abby, everyone here is very kind 🩷

Everything was great up until they (Radiant Gynnastics) undercharged one of our child's classes, I brought it to their attention they forgot to charge us for a child. Every since that honest remark I made to them, our experience at Radiant Gymnastics turned into a nightmare- they have overcharged us, can’t correctly take our payments, when we physically had gone into the business and pay -they are not able to break down the charges correctly and accept our payments. honestly I do not know if people are trained correctly to charge or use their systems. I have requested to drop all 3 of our kids out of gymnastics due to the discrepancy of billing.(no response)I left voicemails and no one calls me back. (Several times)My children have stopped attending and they are still charging us!!! Before this current issue, about 2-3 months ago my youngest daughter had an injury during her class and her coach failed to report it to me no gave me paper evidence until I escalated after class and demanded an incident report. These coaches are very young and do not understand the severity of injuries. Two major issues from this place. I wished it was different because at the end of the day our children love gymnastics and we now have to look for another place to take them.

Unfortunately this place is not reaching its potential. We were here when it opened, day 1, first kiddo. The place was clean, coaches were enthusiastic, owner was always around with a smile. Several months later, the owner disappeared, the place stopped being cleaned with any regularity, the coaches started changing every single week. Classes grew. Kids would go one at a time, spending a majority of the class standing around waiting. The feces all over the toilet in the women’s bathroom was the last straw for me. It was DRIED. It was obvious they were not checking on the facility. The adults also disappeared. I'm all for teens having jobs but there was no one with any authority present. We moved to Gymnastics World and while it's a 30 minute drive versus a 5 minute drive, it's well worth it.

We’ve been coming here for quite a while and am disappointed to say this place has gone downhill. The gym is not clean…. Needs a good scrubbing on equipment and regular vacuuming just to start. The soap is often out in bathroom and the bathroom is always dirty. Not impressed with the classes. A lot of teenage instructors who would rather sit around chatting with each other than interacting with the kids. Most recently my daughter came home with a rash, ringworm the doctor says. She said it usually comes from a gym that doesn’t clean their equipment. Sad to say I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon.
