💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Arrive early or on weekdays to potentially experience shorter lines for slides and other attractions.
- →Be prepared for high-priced food and snacks, as outside food is strictly prohibited.
- →Consider eating before or after your visit to avoid long food lines and high costs, or budget accordingly for park food.
- →Wear water shoes or sandals to protect feet from hot cement sidewalks.
- →Call ahead to inquire about slide closures to manage expectations for your visit.
- →If concerned about cleanliness, note that recent maintenance efforts seem to be addressing past issues.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Frequent closure of multiple water slides (3 attractions consistently reported down, including the 'endless river'), leading to long wait times for open slides.
- ⚠Excessive food wait times, reported between 45 minutes to an hour.
- ⚠Food and snacks are 'WAY overpriced' and 'high priced'.
- ⚠Strict policy against bringing outside food or snacks (e.g., carrots, apples, peanut butter, Goldfish).
- ⚠Cement sidewalks can get very hot and 'burn your feet', suggesting a need for misters or protective footwear.
- ⚠Some areas may have minor maintenance and cleaning issues (e.g., web spiders), though overall cleanliness seems to be improving.
- ⚠No alcohol served, which may be a 'bummer' for some adults.
Price & Value
Food and snacks are consistently described as 'high priced' and 'WAY overpriced', leading to customer dissatisfaction. There's an implied request for allowing outside food due to these prices and long wait times. A season pass was considered 'highly enjoyable' and offers good value for frequent visitors. No specific entry fees were mentioned, but the high cost of in-park food is a significant hidden expense.

a year agoReason for 3 stars and not 5 stars: Although the staff at the park is amazing and ensures everyone's safety and enjoyment, there are a few issues that led to my rating of 3 stars instead of 5. Firstly, three water slides were closed, resulting in long wait times for the remaining five slides. It was challenging to endure the sun while waiting in line. It would be greatly appreciated if all the slides were fixed so that visitors can fully enjoy the park and make the most of what they have paid for. Secondly, the wait time for food exceeded 45 minutes to an hour, which was particularly inconvenient in the heat. It significantly reduced the time available to enjoy the park while also subjecting visitors to excessive sun exposure. If the park management is unable to expedite the food ordering process despite charging high prices, it would be beneficial to allow people to bring their own food into the park. This way, at least visitors can enjoy their time without spending hours waiting for food. Overall, despite these shortcomings, I would still consider coming back to Raging Waters as my kids had a blast on the slides, in the kids pool, lazy river, and weave pool. Lots to place to sit and relax, cabanas. However, it is important for management to address the issues with broken slides and improve food ordering efficiency or consider allowing outside food to prevent visitors from wasting hours under the scorching sun.

2 years agoWe were worried to see the recent bad reviews (e.g., geese feces everywhere) but it turned out so much better than expected and we had so much fun. - They’ve been closed during covid and reopened last month (2022 May), so they’re ramping up - didn’t see geese feces, and didn’t feel it’s extra dirty. It seems they did more maintenance recently. - 3 attractions were down (including endless river) but other open attractions were enough for us to stay there for 4 hours - a huge advantage is line is super short so your waiting time significantly decreases. Go before it gets too crowded - we didn’t buy food or locker room (which makes some customers angry because of the high price)

a year agoI recently visited Raging Waters San Jose and wanted to express my appreciation for the efforts of the park's management team. The park holds immense potential for being a fantastic destination for families to enjoy. I believe that with a more detailed walkthrough and a little extra attention to maintenance and cleaning, the park's experience could be elevated to new heights. During my visit, I noticed some areas where cleaning might have been improved, particularly with regards to web spiders. However, I understand that these things can happen, and I believe that addressing such issues would enhance the overall ambiance of the park. One observation I had was the presence of a ball effect reflecting in the water of the pool where children play. While this didn't significantly affect our enjoyment, it might be worth investigating to ensure a consistently enjoyable experience for all visitors. Despite these observations, I appreciate the efforts of the management team to provide a fun-filled environment for families. I had initially considered requesting a refund, but I decided against it, hoping that my continued support would contribute to making the park even better. Thank you for your attention to these matters, and I look forward to seeing the continued improvement and success of Raging Waters San Jose. It is my belief that with your dedication and responsiveness, the park will undoubtedly thrive and offer unforgettable experiences to all its guests. (pictures attached)

2 years agoWAY TO STRICT on brining your own food or snack in. I'm a parent with kids and I can't bring in carrots/apples and peanut butter or some Goldfish in for a snack so I don't have to buy your WAY overpriced snacks ALL day long. Actual water park was nice, cement sidewalks burn your feet (could use misters), several slides closed on a Friday when we went. No alcohol is a bummer too.
