a week agoRed Rock Canyon is absolutely stunning and a must-see if you’re visiting the Las Vegas area. The scenic drive is well-maintained and offers incredible views at every turn—perfect for photo stops and quick hikes. There are a variety of hiking trails for all levels, from easy walks to more challenging climbs. Just a heads-up: if you’re going during the busy season (especially fall through spring), be sure to make a reservation for the scenic drive ahead of time. Totally worth it—this place is a desert gem! I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Vegas.

a month agoThis is a gorgeous National park with stunning views of mountains and desert in every direction. There is a 14 mile loop road that you can drive on and there are plenty of pull offs and parking lots along the way to stop and enjoy the view. The red rocks and the beautiful rock formations were absolutely beautiful. We were so glad we went there.

a month agoRed Rock Canyon is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Las Vegas looking to experience the beauty of the desert beyond the Strip. Just a short 30-minute drive from the city, this stunning conservation area offers breathtaking landscapes, incredible hiking trails, and an unforgettable outdoor adventure. The scenic 13-mile drive is a highlight, providing plenty of spots to stop and take in the towering red rock formations, unique desert flora, and even some wildlife. For hikers, there are trails for all levels—from the easy Calico Hills with its vibrant rock formations to the more challenging Ice Box Canyon, which offers a cooler, shaded retreat. Climbing enthusiasts will also love the rock-climbing opportunities here. Visiting at sunrise or sunset is highly recommended—the way the light hits the rocks creates a magical, almost surreal view. The visitor center is also worth a stop, offering great insights into the geology, history, and wildlife of the area. If you love nature, photography, or just need a break from the city, Red Rock Canyon is the perfect getaway. Just be sure to bring plenty of water, wear good hiking shoes, and check for reservation requirements, especially during peak seasons.

2 months agoThis conservation area is absolutely stunning. It reminded me a lot of Zion National Park with the massive red rocks. Very beautiful. The scenic drive is a great touch. 15 minute one way route through the park. This will lead you to lookouts and tons of hiking for all types of hikers. We saw a lot of rock climbing going on, too, which was fun to watch. Entry 20 dollars to enter the park. 2 dollars extra if you pay at the entrance booth as opposed to purchasing a day pass online. Bathrooms Lots throughout the conservation area. No running water, so bring sanitizer. Very clean bathrooms, though, compared to other parks. We've been all over Nevada, and this spot really stood out!

a month agoThe stunning views are absolutely breathtaking and a must-see for anyone who appreciates nature. The options to enjoy a leisurely 13-mile drive through the canyon without any hiking, or you can stop at one of the 10 pull-offs to explore the various trails. There’s something for everyone, regardless of your hiking skill level. Amenities included restrooms at all the pull-offs and a water refill station at the visitor center. The visitor center itself is also a highlight, featuring beautiful artifacts, impressive architecture, handcrafted art displays, and a dedicated 9/11 memorial. If you’re in Las Vegas, I highly recommend taking the 40-minute drive off the strip to experience the natural beauty and serenity of Red Rock Canyon. It's a day well spent that you won't regret!
