REI

Whenever I want outdoor or technical clothing, I pay homage to our local outdoor Mecca. As a co-op, REI really has all the right intentions and the nicest, friendliest staff. I always leave happy, at least until I look at the credit card statement!

REI has been my go-to store for over 20 years, and I truly appreciate the quality and reliability of the gear I've purchased there. The staff is consistently helpful and knowledgeable, which enhances my shopping experience. However, I’ve noticed that the selection of men’s apparel and accessories can sometimes feel a bit limited. I believe that expanding this section could really enhance the offerings for customers like me(size). I would have often purchased more items if the size was available. 90% of the time, the items I desire are unavailable in my size. Overall, I remain a loyal customer and look forward to seeing a wider variety of men's items in the future.

I came in looking to replace most of the main components of my hiking/camping gear [sleeping bag, pack, and sleeping pad]. While looking at packs Robert walked over and immediately offered assistance if I needed it. I decided to accept his offer and we spent the next hour or so talking through different specs of each item, cost vs quality and features. I walked out with everything I needed and felt extremely confident in the advice Robert had to give me. Awesome experience all around and I will be back for any other outdoor needs I have in the future. Thanks Robert.

My experience was fantastic! I called, and Rachel answered the phone and gave me the information I needed for the associate who helped me (I was looking for running shoes). Chris was very knowledgeable about the shoes and even gave me some advice for clothes for an upcoming snow trip. Talked to the manager Paul and told him about my great experience. I will be back.

I had gone to the REI off Weistheimer and left very frustrated. They refused to allow me to return an item. Anyway, we all know there are not too many REIs in the Houston area but today I decided to give it one more try. So I went to the store off Tomball Parkway and what a difference location makes. Luis was at the register and was wonderfully professional and kind. I was looking for a light fleece jacket to wear when I go to visit my children in Seattle next week. As I was looking around - 'Z' offered to help me. She was wonderful as I tried on different styles and tried to pick the best one for me. I ended up settling on a light jacket that would work - but wasn't my favorite. As Luis started to ring up my purchase, she came up from the back with a jacket that was the exact color I was looking for. She was so patient and sweet - she told me she saw it and thought she had to find me to see if I wanted it. Thank you 'Z' for going above and beyond to serve your customers. The next time I need to purchase something at REI I will definitely come to Tomball. Whoever the managers are - I hope you know the value of these 2 employees. They have skills that are not easily taught. Make it worth their while to stay in your employment!
