a month agoRocky Point State Park and Beach is a really nice place to visit! I checked it out with my family in March on a nice day so it wasn't packed but I'm sure it is in the summer. There are two nice playgrounds, a few picnic areas, and two nice beaches. There are also restrooms available. Im definitely bring my family back on a nice summer day to swim!

4 months agoWhen I went there was at least 6 Lifeguards so I felt safe. I had my newborn & 9 year old with me so that security eased my mind a little. It was $5 per person to get in but it was a really hot day so I didn’t mind. They have plenty of parking and clean bathrooms. The 🧺 area is an addition if you want to have a Cookout. For a chill day I would recommend this place.

6 months agoA lovely state park. There's a generous wading area. They have a sailing school, paddle boats, kayaks, and volleyball court near the water. On the other side they have a nice sized playground along with more picnic areas. The beach side picnic areas are under some very shady trees, and with the water right there on a quiet day, you can hear the crashing of the water on the beach. They also have a few camp grills for you to use too. Restrooms aren't far from the wayrr side picnic area.

10 months agoPark was a beautiful place to visit, we had a great time even with the tree seed pods all over the place. The beach was crowded but not to the point where you couldn't enjoy it and the lake on the other side of the park was very peaceful.

6 months agoLow-key, tiny bayfront spot for couples/families. Wonderful view of the bay! Shallow water for kids & non-swimmers. Very isolated in the off season; not a place to go alone for females. Restroom is a port a pot. Small single person sailboats to rent I think. Watch out for fat beaver-looking wild animals. Lol. ?? 20 minutes from Golden Ring/Rt.40 area. Great for a relaxing mid-week beach day.
