Amazing. Highly recommend. I enjoyed this hike more than the famous Griffith Park & Observatory hike. No amplifiers allowed, so it was actually quiet and I could do some decent bird watching (went on a Tuesday evening in December). Wonderful views of LA, Hollywood sign, & hills. It's a little harder to get to and find, so it was a more mature crowd of hikers/joggers that were all super respectful. An essential LA hiking experience!

Runyon Canyon is a great place for all age groups and is dog friendly. I would rate the difficulty a 5/10 depending on how often you workout. This trail is kept clean and the views make it worth it. I live in the city but being able to see it from a different angle is always a pleasure. Most of the dogs were off leash but all trained so I definitely will be bringing my two dogs for next time. There are different routes you can hike and depending on which route you take just make sure you bring the proper shoes. This hike took less than an hour to complete for my sister and I. We definitely will be returning.

This is an excellent place to hike very close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The view from inspiration point includes the city and Hollywood sign. It is mostly uphill from the beginning if you start from the south entrance. It is usually relatively busy, especially on weekends.

I am so happy I went hiking 🥾 from here. I didn’t know where I should start hiking. So I ended up going to the park - North entrance and coming down. I took the paved path coming down. The view is amazing. Highly recommend visiting. If you want to go hiking up from the east, you can search East trail. There are water stations on the path.

A very interesting and completely free park that goes all the way from Fuller Avenue and Vista Street up to Mulholland Drive. You can either choose to walk up from from street level via Hollywood or drive up to the entrance at the top via Mulholland. There is a major pathway that’s paved with concrete, but there are also numerous side trails and ridge lines that split away. You can take all kinds of interesting routes to vista points and mountainside paths. From the top part of the trail and it’s various points along canyons ridges you can most of Los Angeles. It’s a great and breathtaking view. Runyon Canyon has a lot to offer hikers of all fitness levels, and the sights are spectacular. It’s a great getaway from the bustle of Los Angeles. You’re quite close to the city but you feel transported into nature and completely removed from the relentless busyness of the city.
