2 weeks agoExperienced the St. Louis Zoo during their Zoo Lights event this last weekend. What a great idea! Not much for animals out as it was during evening hours but, still a great time to wander the grounds and see the stunning light displays. Super cool experience and loved the interactive aspects like the bubble machine, lightened see-saws, animatronic displays, and jump dots for people to Change the light colors. The zoo is free which is super cool! The animals appear to have excellent care for a zoo environment and I felt like compared to Other zoos I have visited; they had a more space in their areas than most places. My favorite animal to watch was the Red Pandas! They are just a treat. Highly recommend including in your visit!

3 weeks agoThis is a very nice free zoo. Parking was $20. The attractions do cost, and they are a little pricey. They do offer a combo wristband if you plan to do all the attractions. We did the train, which was nice. We were not able to hear the speaker, but the ride was nice and saved some walking. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They answered all our questions and gave great directions.

2 weeks agoGreat to be back! Forgot how big this place is! It looks like it never stops expending, the new addition is in the works. The last time our family visited this place was about 14 years ago. They were in the process of building an underwater viewing tunnel for the sea lions. We were on the hunt to see it this time, and it did not disappoint. It might be one of the most popular exhibits, as there is a line, but it is constantly moving. The whole zoo is decorated with lanterns and light up animals for special Animals Aglow night exhibit, celebrating Chinese culture.
