I wish someone had explained the walk down was steep. Wasn't taking the same way out, that's for sure.

Really enjoyed our time here. We woke up super early and arrived around 7AM on a Sunday to take family photos with the Golden Gate Bridge in the back. There were no other cars parked (parking available on the side of the road,) and only about 4 people on the beach- everyone minding their own business. Someone had clearly just cleaned up the beach as evidenced by the full trash can but beautifully clean area! (Thank you to whoever that was!) It's important to note that these are some STAIRS. Like, going up these is a hike. If you are in poor physical shape, elderly, very young (maybe 4 and under,) I would not recommend trying these steps. We had a decent time going down, although it was a little dicey with the sand kind of sliding, but the way up was downright difficult. It is steeper than photos make it appear and there are well over 100 steps, probably more like 200. The good thing is fewer people were on this end of the beach, bad news is in the morning it is very shaded with sub-optimal lighting for photos. But if you're just going to enjoy yourself, early morning was wonderful!

Would have been a perfect hike - harder for me dragging an overly excited dog and carrying fishing gears. Beautiful view and short cut to the nude side of the beach.

After hiking nearly 5 miles through the city to get to Baker Beach, we reached the Immigrant Point Overlook. From there we had to descend down the hill along the sand ladder trail. It was the most interesting way I've ever entered a beach in my life. Amazing views and well with the trek. Views of the Golden Gate Bridge are amazing once you reach the beach

I'd saved this beach in my list cus of it's amazing sand ladder and it was as lovely as I thought when I visited. It's beautiful and clean but you need a chunk of luck to get a parking spot. I guess anybody can experience a nude sunbathing or walk overthere. It's so lovely and peaceful with a lot of cute dogs around. Highly recommend it.
