We were told about the Sciencenter by our mechanic who said it was worth the dive. We drove 45 minutes to the Sciencenter for the first time with our grandchildren. All of us really loved the facility both indoors and outdoors. It has a reasonable admission rate and it was jammed packed with a lot of interactive exhibits with great information. Our oldest grand daughter especially enjoyed the Marine life or aquatic petting. The younger ones really enjoyed playing with all of the water presentations. We all learned some amazing facts while having a lot of fun. They have restrooms strategically placed throughout the science center which are very convenient. The outside playground area allows both the small and older a chance to unwind from science and provide them with a mental break. The Sciencenter in Ithaca makes for a fun and factual outing with children and it is definitely worth checking it out. I would recommend going during the week when there is less of a crowd.

I had been to Ithaca with my children a few times and I realize that everything here is great. You can show the children here with games how fluid mechanik works and what you can do with air. how airflow can transport heavy objects for example. Really great great place to be. We like this place!

I love this place. My kids love it too. Full of interactive exhibits and all kinds of cool stuff. My boys, 2 and 5, could spend all day here. There's even a toddler area for the little kids, and some advanced stuff for the older ones. Absolutely a major highlight of Ithaca. I just wish they had more events. The membership is also worth it. Pays for itself as long as you visit a few times a year.

This is overall a very good science center. Lots of different experiences and experiments that children can do. There is a decent aquarium section. They have several areas I had not seen at other centers like this, making this one stand out. They have renewable energy and several topography sections that my 14 year old really enjoyed. I would say this is really made for 8-14. Doubt high schoolers would have much excitement. We went on a Friday late morning/early afternoon. Would have been nice to have more workers or volunteers to help children and parents when everyone gets confused.

We came here as a day trip and it was fantastic. It was during spring break and it was pouring rain and honestly it was not as crowded as I thought it would be. My 7 year old and I loved this place. It was our first visit and pretty much all the science things were hands on learning. We will definitely be coming back here again and hopefully during nicer weather when the outdoor area is more usable and we can do the space walk too.
