💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Parents should consider packing supplemental, non-perishable snacks for their children, especially picky eaters, due to reported inconsistencies in food quality.
- →If attending in dorms, discuss dorm etiquette with children and inquire with Seacamp about their policies on strong-smelling personal items (e.g., cologne, Axe body spray).
- →Encourage children to take advantage of the second/third helping policy if they find any meal items they enjoy, to ensure they are full.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Inconsistent food quality; some reviews reported food as 'bad', inedible (e.g., bad tacos, peanut butter sandwich and ham cheese), leading to children being 'hungry for the most part'.
- ⚠Potential for social issues within large school groups (one student reported 'some people from my school weren’t very nice to me').
- ⚠Dorm environment issues, specifically 'someone sprayed cologne and Axe in the boys dorm', suggesting a need for clearer policies or supervision regarding strong-smelling personal items.
Price & Value
Generally perceived as providing an 'absolutely amazing' experience and 'well worth the effort', indicating high value for the overall program. However, one parent felt that 'for the price I expected a better quality of food', suggesting that value perception might be negatively impacted by food quality for some.
♿Accessibility & Special Needs
- •No specific accommodations for special needs or accessibility features mentioned in reviews.
🍎Food & Drink Policy
- •Offers meals including items like peanut butter sandwiches, ham and cheese, and tacos, though quality can be inconsistent.
- •Crucially, students are 'permitted to have not only second, but third helpings', which is beneficial for ensuring children, particularly picky eaters, can get sufficient food.
🚗Parking Info
- •No parking information mentioned in reviews.
👥Crowd Levels
- •Primarily caters to school and student groups, as evidenced by all reviews mentioning 'group of students' or 'school group'. This suggests an environment with moderate to large group sizes.
- •No specific crowd level information for individual visitors or specific times of day.
🛡️Safety Features
- •Staff are described as staying 'on top of all things throughout' and handling 'every aspect with perfection', implying a high level of general supervision and care.
- •However, an incident with cologne/Axe in boys' dorms indicates that specific rule enforcement or supervision within dorm environments might have occasional gaps.
⏰When to Avoid
- • Families whose children have high expectations for consistent, high-quality food, or who have strict dietary requirements that might not be easily accommodated due to reported food issues.
- • Children particularly sensitive to strong odors or prone to social discomfort in group dorm settings, unless specific camp policies and supervision are confirmed.

a month agoI attended sea camp last week, 03-05-2025, with a group of students from Las Vegas. Let me say, the entire experience, from start to finish, was absolutely amazing and well worth the effort it took to get us there. The activities were well structured, academically rewarding (as the students received a wealth of information and 'hands-on' opportunities), and interlaced with all types of fun, energetic, ventures. The camp staff were excellent and knowledgeable and they took the time to developed great rapport with our students. The staff stayed handled every aspect with perfection during our stay and remained on top of all things throughout. The food was great, well prepared, and very tasty and the students seemed to enjoy it a great deal. Another plus was the fact that students' were permitted to have not only second, but third helpings, which proved useful for our picky-eaters as this allowed them to have extras on those select items they were willing to eat and to get full at each meal. I highly recommend attending Sea Camp, if you have the opportunity, as it served as an excellent 'rite of passage' transition for the departing class of our school; allowing them the opportunity to enhance and develop necessary traits of independence, experimentation, exploration, and curiosity. A thousand thanks to the Sea Camp Program, can't wait to do it again next year.

a month agoMy son school was there last week they had a great amount of activities planned for the kids and he enjoyed it so much from scuba diving to the plankton labs but his complaints were about the food and the quality of it and I agree with a child doing outdoor activities in the ocean cannot service on peanut butter sandwich and ham cheese , taco that are bad he could not even eat them . For the price I expected a better quality of food overall he loved it but he was hungry for the most part.

6 months agoSeacamp was fun! I went with a school group from Minnesota in October of 2024 and I would highly recommend it. All of the activities are fun, the counselors are very nice and fun , shout out to Nikko, Caleb, Maiya, Rex, and Ashley for making this experience more fun. My only issues with this place are that some people from my school weren’t very nice to me and someone sprayed cologne and Axe in the boys dorm (probably should prohibit that) otherwise this was very fun!

9 months agoMy son said this was one of the best weeks of his life. He absolutely loved learning about marine biology, spending time in nature, and making friends. The counselors were top notch and created a positive experience for all of the campers. He’s already counting down the days until next summer when he can go again.
