5 months agoSherman Branch Nature Preserve was a great day out in Charlotte hiking and exploring. There were quite a few bikers on the day we visited. The trails are clean and clearly marked. We visited in the fall, so there were a lot of leaves on the ground. We hiked for around 1.5 hours, but you can easily explore for longer. It’s great walking under the canopy of trees. There’s a smallish parking area with space for parking. I’ll be back here.

4 months agoFirst time riding here. I’m a novice mtb rider and some parts were a little difficult for me. But what a great place! Jerry has done an incredible job with this place. Trails were in great shape and there were lots of man made obstacles to go over. Plenty of parking and has a couple of porta johns.

5 months agoStill a great spot for single track mountain biking for intermediate and advanced riders. Great variety of terrain and short punchy climbs and long sweeping downhills. Great lake views from the Lake Loop.

4 months agoNice trails but there’s barbed wire along some of the paths, especially close to the lake. I had my dog on a leash but he still almost walked into some barbed wire when he was sniffing on the side of the trail.

8 months agoI've always enjoyed riding here. Just enough features to be fun without being too taxing on a casual rider and the trail was built in a way that never wears you out climbing. (Of course harder trails have a place, but I can bring new riders here with me and they still have a good time).
