2 months agoShinzen Friendship Garden is a peaceful and well-maintained place for a relaxing stroll. The landscape is immaculate, with traditional stone lanterns, and a serene lake reflecting the lush greenery. The Clark Bonsai Collection is a must-stop! The pathways are lined with charming wooden structures and thoughtfully arranged rock gardens, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. A great spot to enjoy nature, unwind, and take in the beauty of Japanese-inspired design.

2 months agoA calm and clean area with various rivers and bodies of water. There are many animals living here such as fish, geese, and peacocks. They give discounts for those who are seniors or students as is mentioned on their website. The park has many sitting areas to rest and to relax and enjoy the view. You have to get a parking pass which doesn’t take long unless there is a line.

5 months agoThis is a beautiful place anytime of the year but specifically in autumn, it becomes a canvas of colors and paintings of nature that are breathtaking. It is mesmerizing just a wonderful place to enjoy a nature walk while taking in all the colors. It has Koi fish and streams along the paths. It has a bonsai tree garden. It is next to a lake that connects to a beautiful park with many more things to offer.

4 months agoLocated inside the Woodward Park in Fresno, the Shinzen Friendship Garden is a great place to visit with family. It is a beautiful Japanese garden, the waterfall, the pond with orange and white coi fish, bridges and elegant flora and fauna. Located inside this Garden is the Clark Bonsai Collection which is state-of-the-art and a must see. This park is ticketed and has different options, in case one wants to do a photo session here. My favorite was the Bonsai collection, however I was also fascinated by the peacocks walking around freely there and another section dedicated to Camellia flowers where we explored Camellia in different colors. The Japanese Tea House located at the waterfront is also worth a walk. I highly recommend this place for a calm and serene experience and if in case you’re a meditator, this is a dream location with beautiful energy. Will definitely be going back there soon.
