2 months agoUp until this year we have had a great experience with Spokane Gymnastics. The coaches have been great. We've been with them for years. The General Manager, Sam, is incredibly unprofessional, rude and lacks any type of accountability. I'm utterly frustrated that we are paying $354 a month on top of competition fees, travel fees etc and Sam could be so rude and unprofessional. He has belittled my family and interrupts people and he speaks over people. In my call today you could hear his deep breath sarcastic eye rolls. Let me add that this call was listened to by a third party unbiased individual who was flabbergasted by him. He refuses to even accept that his tone can be perceived as unprofessional and rude. I've asked him to provide the owners contact information and he has yet to provide but they welcome feedback. There's no apologies no accepting that there's a possibility he's unprofessional. He needs customer service training, how to professionally write an email training and to humble himself. Update! Sam kicked my child off the gymnastics team right before state because he lacks basic communication skills and accountability! Also to this day I'm still waiting for contact information for the owner of which Sam refuses to provide! Update! I spoke with Sara, Chief Strategic Officer for Spokane Gymnastics. First and foremost the call was absolutely a waste of time. Sara had her mind made up regarding the situation and was unwilling to listen to our perception of the way we’re treated. There was no listening to understand or come up with a solution. Sara stated that she’s an ethics professor but yet she failed to search out truth, failed to seek for a resolution and failed to seek for justice. She blatantly outright stated that my child was kicked out in retaliation of my google post. When a reasonable person would search for truth and knows that truth is in the middle. There’s our perception, their perception and reality of which is being ignored. It also seems that if there was a communication breakdown after 8 years of us being with the gym, you would want to sit down and resolve the issues instead of punishing an innocent 8 year old child as retaliation. Furthermore I’m still waiting for the owner to contact us. I’ve asked numerous times for the owner to contact me to resolve this given the fact that we’ve been a client for years. We were even told that just because made state doesn’t mean she would be invited to compete which is another implied direct retaliatory action against a child because there’s a lack of problem solving skills by the gym.

a month agoVery disappointed. We've been attending classes here for 7years. We scheduled a makeup class and it wasn't entered into the computer when I called to double check on the day of we were told we couldn't come because it wasn't 24hr notice even though we had asked to be scheduled 48hrs prior. When I asked to talk to a manager I was told she was unavailable. However the gal who answered the call kept putting me on hold to talk to her so not sure why I wasn't able to chat with her and figure out a better option. All I was offered was open gym time. I paid for supervised sessions not open gym time.

a month agoI would honestly not go to this business especially with the YMCA being much more friendly and affordable. My husband deployed last minute so he was no longer able to watch our two month old while my daughter and i did the little one’s gymnastics class so i called to explain the situation on saturday I had signed up for the class thursday evening so it was a quick turn around as we were blindsided Also for reference the class would start tuesday so this is all before her class would’ve taken place they said they would call me back monday but i had to call multiple times to get that to happen When i finally got a call back i told im gonna be charged a drop fee, not get the membership fee back, and that i have to wait to get a survey to fill out to then be sent a partial refund check by them. They still haven’t sent me the survey btw and it’s been hours and i know the gym is closed so they should have down time to do all that So no matter what: They are too busy to answer phones, call back, or send emails. And these classes cost hundreds of dollars and they are too busy to spend 2 minutes doing something. But they told me i needed to hurry up when it came to the survey. Let me be clear we’re talking all of this happened this fast: i signed up late Thurs, friday personal news dropped, saturday i called them and husband was already gone and they said they would call me back, monday i called multiple times to get a call back just to end up with the conclusion that i will get an email to take a survey to get a check for part of my money.. And the class date would be on tuesday so its not like we’ve attended or anything it hasnt occurred yet. They did offer to let me use the credit later but we do not have much time left in this area so that would still just be a waste of money for us and i tried explaining that. Oh and because i asked for a refund because of a crazy life event i am prohibited from signing up for stuff for an amount of time (i forgot how long that lasts but that is still insane) Anyways. Just go to the YMCA. these people aren’t very understanding or nice and it’s way too much money and life is way too short to deal with this. There’s no human aspect to the way they run this business.

a year agoSpokane Gymnastics is a wonderful place for kids to learn gymnastics, parkour and become ninjas :). The coaches we encountered were kind, friendly, and passionate about helping kids succeed. When I take my child to gymnastics classes, we feel like family, greeting couches and friends from past classes.
