Sports Basement Presidio

"I came here to drop off some old shoes. They take old shoes whether you want to donate them or recycle them. I had 2 pairs that are pretty much done for and it's hard to find a place in the bay where they decide for you whether the shoes should be donated or recycled (I think mine should be the latter), that also takes all shoes, not just athletic ones. The bins are at the exit, but if you're lost, the staff is awesome. One of them, a lady, answered all my annoying questions with a great attitude. They also take: socks (might only be wool but the website does not specify), real cork, sports b"

"I am a sports basement presidio regular, have always loved it and have had good service but I recently made a big ticket purchase from the bike department and I have to take a moment to shout out THAD. He was amazing!!! I didn’t really even plan on buying a bike that day, but he was so helpful and gave honest and candid opinions on the bike I was looking at. I came back to get it fitted and we worked for a couple of hours to get it right — it’s been AWESOME so far. He was genuinely excited for me and I really felt like he built trust with me about the bike and about the fit, and at this point "

"Very happy with Sports basement at Presidio I just rejoined after moving back to the area and their member program, which is really great I swim bike and gym exercise so I started buying my equipment from there again at the discount and had my bike completely rehab at a fair price Bought some shoes on sale. The sales people are really nice and are not pushy and equipment is great. The places is just really San Francisco comfortable."
