Spy Hop

This place has been a lifesaver for my teen. Spy Hop is a pro-level hands-on experience for kids with an interest in digital arts. For my son it is music production, but they also have programs in film and graphic design. The classes are all after school. The kids are provided mentors who have extensive experience in their fields. Spy Hop is a non-profit but the equipment is all top-of-the-line stuff that the pros use. My son is learning skills and gaining experience that will actually help prepare him for a career in music production. The current facility is great, but the new building will be out of this world. I can't recommend this place enough!

My son just finished a two week summer camp session and had the best time. We will definitely look into camp options next year and also after school classes as he gets older. It was well organized, fun, he learned lots of new media arts skills and they partnered with great organizations for afternoon activities.

My child has loved having Spy Hop come to their after school program. Every time Spy Hop is there, we get a message that he wants to stay later than usual to continue to work on his project. I love the inclusive and anti-bias culture; it is exactly what teens need! Thank you for providing quality instruction and support - and for free! I wish we had more programs like this throughout Salt Lake.

I feel so much community and support here. I was a super introverted teenager, and during the pandemic I had become very agoraphobic. Spyhop’s programs really helped ease me back into society. All of the mentors are fantastic, super sweet, and are just genuine people. They really value connection and understanding when it comes to their students. If you are looking to grow creatively, looking for friends, or just in need of a safe space to hangout in, this is it! Super diverse, full of self expression, super rad. I am so grateful for this place, it’s so much fun. Thanks spyhop!

Two of my kids have participated in programs at SpyHop and have loved the experience! So happy there are places like this to foster young talent.
