St. Columba Episcopal Camp & Retreat Center

An interesting location that could be a great outdoor experience for children and adults alike once all of the different event stations are open for use. But, if you would like to experience a sense of the outdoors via a nature walk or Creek bed adventure, going during late winter early spring (right around the corner) is the best time to do it give the Midsouth heat. The grounds provide for the opportunity to hunt for native critters living in the area, i.e. deer, moles, raccoons, rabbits, various birds, a plethora of insect life and so much more. On this day and one prior the naturalist led the children (eight graders) along natural trails and eventually a creek bed walk through water that was in the area. The creek bed walk, finding small plants, a salamander, spotting deer and insect life seemed to be the highlights of their time outdoors - of course it didn't hurt either that they got to do team building exercises and play in the mud! So, if you are not a true "roughing it" kind of person, but you want to get close while not "becoming one with" nature; check out this retreat and enjoy some outdoor time with your family and friends.

I ❤️ the camp grounds everything about it is perfect. I had the best sleep, walk in shower and water pressure awesome, fire pit and fireplace simply beautiful. Time spent with love ones priceless

A lovely place to have a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the facilities can be transformed into a lovely place for a more casual wedding setting. The staff are excellent and very accommodating. Our out-of-town guests were able to stay at Scheibler Lodge for a very reasonable overnight fee as well. It was perfect.

Beautiful area. I came for an Eagle Scout Ceremony and had a lovely time being so close to nature. The facilities are very nice, and I learned there are also hermitages available. I'm not sure about rental rates, but this is a lovely little hidden forest in the heart of Bartlett.

The facility where we stayed was very well maintained and clean, the food was hot and delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful (including taking care of our team's keynote speaker after she had had a car accident), and most importantly, it seems as though this camp's commitment to caring extends beyond just the people who visit their conference center. Recycling and reducing waste is a priority and even the soaps for their bathrooms help those who are seeking new life away from crime. This is an all-around great place to stay that gives back to guests and to community.
