2 weeks agoGreat place with Incredible views the walk up the mountain is challenging but nothing to worry about, there's a small cabin in the middle of the hike we're anyone can rest before getting to the top, we arrived just on time to see the sunset and it was beautiful. There is a $20 parking fee for. Whole vehicle daily there's plenty of restrooms around the area. Watch out and take care.

2 weeks agoWe took our kids to the park on spring break, and had a BLAST! There was so much to do, we were there from about 11 am to 9.30 pm, but never felt rushed or like we were going to miss something. Beautiful park and hiking trails - obviously fun to climb to the top of the mountain. The train ride was fun, mini-golf, the dinosaur exhibit, ropes course, 4D movie... every single thing was so fun! The staff were friendly and helpful, and helped make the dinosaur exhibit more immersive. The only suggestion I could think of was the food wasn't great, but it is your typical park food. We will definitely be back a lot more now that we know just how fun it is!

a month agoWe love a good hike up Stone Mountain, especially since the weather is so nice to get some sun. The hike is easy to hard… not too long or too short just enough for a good incline at the end. When you get to the top, it is breath breathtaking view…. It is cheaper to purchase a yearly membership since during the holiday you get to enjoy the free laser show and see close-up fireworks. The park has many other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy and you can also have a picnic and grill out. Do check their website for park activities and shows/ events.

a week agoNice 360 deg opening view from the summit. You can either take cable car or hike up. I took a hike, the trail is clear and easy, some slopes are steep but no need to worry if you take steady steps. I think normal time to the summit is about 50 - 60mins. It’s a nice little hike with very nice view on the summit. I definitely recommend.

a week agoHiked up to the top for the Easter sunrise service. I've been wanting to do this for the past few years now and wanted to invite a female companion but ended up hiking up there alone. Just a wonderful view from the top looking around. One thing I noticed was the carving looks like it needs to be cleaned, I always thought there were 4 Generals and 4 horses and it's hard to tell.
