6 months agoSecond Trip to Rochester, First Time to The Sunken Garden. It was early morning during my visit as a Solo Traveler. The Weather was perfect during my hour of exploring and photographing this Monumental and Historical Place. The Creativity in the Mind of the Architect who Designed this Sunken Garden was Pure Poetic. Multiple Layers of Rock, Brick, Mortar and Iron Bars and Swinging Gates. THIS Garden is Hidden from the World above with ALL its Splendor Below! It's a Must See Location and Apparently during ANY Season of the Year.

a year agoBeautiful hidden gem. Great place to walk around and enjoy the castle and landscaping. Also nice place to take photos for couples or families.

3 years agoIt was cute! Looks like a little sunken castle that has meshed with the soil and plants to create this now sunken garden. My daughter and I enjoyed our brief visit there and took plenty of pictures. There were other people who were around and enjoyed the place as an outing or a romantic lunch picnic. Children seemed to enjoy playing with the “dungeon gates.” We ventured to the back of the structure where we were able to enter the dungeon as take pictures to the amusement of people looking at us from the other side. Would be great if they would let visitors into the house/castle in the front or if they could open it and use it as gift store or restaurant.

2 years agoBeautiful historic place hidden in highland Park off reservoir st. I am definitely going back here. It was so peaceful and vibrant w so many different plants. There is a trail behind it as well that leads to the platform stage in highland as well.
