May 2021 - Heavenly place for a walk or cycle ride. The grass was dry and yellow when I visited but still the views were magnificent. We spotted a Coyote too. Ample parking space is available, especially during weekdays morning when i visited. The yellowish background of dried grass and hills gave a feel of walking around in a desert, while the lovely houses with green lawns gave a feel of an oasis. Update in Feb 2022 - I visited again and was astonished to see the transformation of the hills into a green carpet. If you haven't, please rush to this beauty asap before it turns yellow again. The sounds of the singing birds and yellow flowers are breathtaking. Adding some new pictures.

Beautiful trail if you get to see wildflowers. They might be around for a few more days. It’s for all levels. Bring water and hat if you are hiking in the noon as it’s not shady. Evening sunset time was very pretty here.

Beautiful hiking area, nice change in elevation and great climate in fall and spring. After winter rains the rolling hills are diverse and full of animals and in summer they turn brown with the heat. Many animals can be seen like rabbits, coyotes, squirrels, blackbirds, hawks, and cows. Paths are good for walking but can be rough on a bicycle after a dry spell. Going in midsummer is not a great idea as there is no shade on top of the ridge and temperatures can easily exceed 100°. In winter, soil turns wet and claylike. Despite some seasonal issues, this is a great hiking area offering views of much of the San Ramon Valley, Camino Tassajara and Mt Diablo.

I can't say it's the most exciting trail but a decent trail when the flowers are in bloom. It's a fairly easy hike at that.
