The Play Lab

We had our daughter's 4th birthday party there. The place is great and the party planner, Paulina, is wonderful! It was a very special moment for our daughter and everyone who was there. If possible, we will definitely have her birthday party there again. I highly recommend the place.

We had the best birthday party for our 3 year old at the Play Lab. Paulina and the team made the process so easy and fun, the decor and space were perfect and the kids had an absolute blast. Highly recommend for your next party.

The best place for birthday parties! Paulina and her team were excellent to work with from the beginning. She was very accessible and accommodating from the get go. The venue is excellent - amazing play area, nice natural light, kept super clean and neat. Everything was organized by them and it was just so easy to have a good time. Highly recommend them for your kiddo's next event.

What? The Play Lab. A Montessori inspired playspace located in Greenpoint/Williamsburg. The Play Lab is primarily an open playspace, however occasional classes do happen here also. The playspace is spacious, and suited for those 9 months and older. Lots of toys and activities to keep the little ones entertained, including a pretend play kitchen and supermarket. There’s also a foam pit, a Lego pit, a climbing wall, a huge slide, lots of balls, hammocks and so much more! Where? Located at 33 Nassau Avenue, this space is on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg. It’s around a 15 minute walk from the North Williamsburg ferry port, or around 10 minutes walk to Bedford Avenue station on the L line, so an easy commute from Union Square station. I love the area this is in, as there’s so many restaurants, cafes, great parks etc around. When? Generally, The Play Lab is open every day from 10am to 6pm. Just be sure to check via their website, Instagram page, or phone them! Cost? $37 for 2 hours of open play, booked via Sawyer. Yes, a little pricey but justifiable as this place is super clean and is a great space to spend a few hours. Our Rating - 9/10. Today was our second visit here. We went when Darcy was close to turning one, and was able to walk very few steps. Even then the space kept her entertained for two hours, but now even more so! Definitely recommend for all 9 months and upwards. Anything else? I can’t think of anything else to mention, apart from the fact they have a clean bathroom! We just hosted our daughter's second birthday and the Play Lab team did SUCH an amazing job. We rented out the whole space and they set up every single detail - from the decorations, to the food, to the goody bags. Everything was seamless and the kids had the best time. The space is perfect because the kids can run around while the adults can always see them and not have to worry. And the party room looked so great. Highly recommend!
