4 weeks agoWe've been climbing here for 9 months now. Honestly, it's pretty disappointing. The gym is constantly overcrowded (not their fault), and children run around unattended. I've spoken to employees about children being unsafe on auto-belays, and it was ignored (I watched the kids continue to mess around for another 10 minutes before they came down on their own. No employees ever talked to them). I've never seen employees walking around to ensure that people are being safe, despite several employees sitting at the front desk. I love a laid back gym, I don't love an unsafe one. If you're expecting much out of the yoga classes, that is also a disappointment. There aren't very many classes offered (relative to other gyms) despite them always being full. We've also had teachers show up late, or not at all, with no warning from the front desk staff upon checking in. I want to love it here, but we honestly would rather drive farther away to climb elsewhere. It feels like this gym got thrown up, and was left to run itself without guidance from employees or management.

a month agoHad an employee make a threaten to kick me out about me dropping a 45lbs dumb bell. Hilariously stupid. Cancelled my membership. 90lbs (45+45lbs) is less than the weight of a person. So dropping ANY dumb bell wouldnt effect the structural integrity of the building. I would get it if I was dead lifting a lot of weight. But seriously, dumb bells? Has this particular staff member been to a regular commercial gym? Either way I want a refund for the last week of my membership that I cant use! This is BS

2 years agoGo here!!! Great staff & loads of classes to help you improve your technique. Auto belays are available on your solo days. Yoga classes are included with monthly membership, as well as discounted prices on technique classes offered. They even provide courses to help you transition from indoor to outdoor climbs. The community is great - you’re bound to make friends along the way. Can’t say enough good things. Check out The Spot!

5 years agoAwesome place for individuals and whole families of all ages. My wife and I moved to the local area and we brought our 7 year old and had a blast. I and my wife even ended up buying gear and will be starting a family membership. The staff is SUPER helpful and really nice. The facility is very well kept. Also have a fitness area upstairs. they have a kids area and childcare. They sell plenty of gear and snacks and drinks.

4 years agoLOVE the climbing in this DIVERSE GYM, but they NEVER CLEAN. I've been a member for years now. Very well constructed with a VARIETY OF WALLS, slabs, overhangs, arête, chimney, and crack. Primarily set for TOP ROPING and bolted for LEAD CLIMBING, with additional large BOULDERING area, kids climbing, and FITNESS/TRAINING room. NEW ROUTES are continually being set and they're Grade-A. The front desk staff are always cool and friendly. The only trouble is that THE PLACE IS ALWAYS DIRTY and they haven't vacuumed or mopped the floors in literally many months. I thought that after the Covid-19 shutdown things might change, but since I returned in July (now December) I don't think they've cleaned the place. Sent e-mails to corporate with no reply. Left too many comment cards. Talked directly to staff and nothing has changed (management doesn't seem to come around much anymore, and removed their contact info from the website). It stinks seeing old Band-Aids and balls of hair on the floor and the clouds of chalk in the air. I'm continually surprised, considering they charge $20+ a day for visitors and $70+/month for members. You might think they'd care more about health and wellbeing during a global pandemic, but alas.
