2 years agoAs a real estate broker, I pride myself in being knowledgeable about all of the things my community has to offer. Last night my husband and dined on the most delicious dinner provided by The Talking Farm prepared by Big John. We ate under the open stars after taking a tour of this amazing working farm. If you are looking for a place to volunteer or learn about urban agriculture, contact this wonderful farm!

4 months agoHello, could you provide me with all the information for people who want to visit the farm on the weekend? Are there any activities for kids, and do we need to call before coming?

2 years agoThe Skokie Talking Farm has been built, tilled and plowed on the site of one of the last surviving parcels of prairie in the East Prairie area. The stark irony of leveling a native landscape teeming with biodiversity in favor of a food production site under the guise of 'sustainability' and 'education' will always remain tasteless and unpalatable.
