Thelma Lovette YMCA

I'm only giving stars for the swim Instructor V. This place doesnt deserve a star ((review for aquatics only)). She was amazing teaching swimming patiently. I learnt alot. But its very very sad that YMCA cancelled ADULT SWIM classes on days where numerous adults would be able to attend. Now since they cancelled most classes, they only have 1 class per level on sundays!!?????!!!!!!!!!????!!! What about for ADULTS that work weekends? There is no one to talk to in the facility either. They say to talk to Aquatic director but to NO AVAIL.-- they dont talk to you, and if they do, its to PLACATE you to make you shut up & move out their door. I feel this YMCA has uselessly arranged classes not benefiting the population but only benefitting the facility with a lott of financial cuts.. This is very very very sad. They dont seem to REMEMBER nor be AWARE that there are adults who WORK ON WEEKENDS. They have lost 3 adults who WANT to learn swimming with this facility. This is very upsetting. P.S. you CANNOT make up a missed day if you as a woman have you menstrual cycle,. They do NOT allow you make it up. Disgusting. May as well go to british swim school who atleast have days for adults & allow a woman to make up classes due to having her menstrual cycle. Absolutely abhorrent.

Wonderful staff! Very caring and treat everyone with respect. Wish more attention paid to some maintenance issues and cleaning in the locker room. The Y seems to be consistent with deferred maintenance in all their facilities.

Many free class options with membership. New beautiful facility. Family friendly and affordable. Thelma Lovette YMCA also currently have a diverse competitive swim team for children @6yrs to 18yrs old! Family membership also includes free daycare for young children while you use the facility! I found that option very helpful so I could work out when my girls were young. Free parking and safe!

I love this Y! The staff is always polite, professional, and energetic. The atmosphere always has a family type atmosphere. All of T he equipment is in great shape and some of the machines are newer that you may not find at other gyms. The facility has an Olympic sized pool and a nice sauna. The facility ALWAYS clean.

This YMCA is beautiful. I love going there for water aerobics and basketball.
