Why families love it

  • Clean restrooms and a wide variety of pastries and coffee at the on-site Tout Suite cafe.
  • Dedicated playscape for kids to climb and a good lawn/sidewalk space for walking.
  • Clean, well-maintained dog run divided into separate sections for small and big dogs.
  • Tout Suite cafe provides ample outlets and tables, suitable for parents to study or work while kids play.
  • Comfortable atmosphere for a parent managing multiple young kids and a dog alone on a busy day (Saturday noon).
  • On-site Tout Suite cafe offering a variety of coffee (e.g., mocha latte), pastries, and some food, with amenities like outlets and tables for working/studying.

Insider tips

  • Be aware that outside food is strictly prohibited; plan to purchase snacks/meals from the Tout Suite cafe.
  • If planning a group gathering or picnic, you 'have to' email the park for permission in advance.
  • Parking is metered street parking, close to the park, costing approximately $2.20 for 2 hours via app or 800 number.
  • Consider visiting during off-peak hours ('try to go when it’s not busy') as the park is described as small and parking can be limited.
  • Clarify dog park access rules upon arrival, as signage or design can be confusing and security may enforce them strictly.

Good to know before you go

  • Bringing outside food for a picnic or planning to host an impromptu group gathering with external food/drinks.
  • Expecting extensive or expansive play areas for older children (likely too small).
  • Visiting if you are sensitive to strict food policies or potential encounters with overly strict security.
  • Relying on advertised events (like Santa visits) without prior reconfirmation, as external event organization might be unreliable.
  • Strict policy: no outside food allowed, and organizing small group picnics or eating/drinking with others requires emailing the park for permission.
Crowds
Can be busy, with advice to 'try to go when it's not busy'.

Safety
Presence of security guard (though one incident was negative, security is present for enforcement).

"First time trying it with our dog and my 3 kids. For me visiting alone with my 3 young kids and a dog on a Saturday around noon it was nice! I loved the tout suite for a treat for kids and my coffee. Clean restrooms and an amazing variety of pastries and coffee (I had a delicious mocha latte.) It is a small park, but a good lawn and sidewalk space perfect for walking around with the dogs and letting the kids climb the playscape. I felt comfortable with it being small and the parking being so close on the sidewalk to the park. It was meter parking. I did through the app or the 800 meter numbe"

"BEST LOCATION DOG PARK in midtown / downtown area. Park is divided into small and big dog sections. Plenty of seating in shade and dog run is well maintained."
