Insider tips

  • Expect a Child-Focused Environment: The program prioritizes a positive experience and sportsmanship over solely winning, even within a competitive structure.
  • Be Prepared for Community Interaction: Many families form strong friendships, so expect and embrace social engagement.
  • Inquire about Coaching Philosophy: If your child thrives in a highly intense, win-at-all-costs environment, it might be worth discussing the coaching approach beforehand, as coaches deemed 'too intense' have been removed.
  • Consider Long-Term Engagement: Many families commit for multiple seasons, suggesting opportunities for continuous development and sustained enjoyment.

Good to know before you go

  • Coaches with an 'Too Intense' Approach: Individuals whose coaching style is overly aggressive or solely focused on winning, as management has demonstrated a willingness to remove such coaches.
  • Families Seeking Ultra-Aggressive Competition: While competitive, the program emphasizes a positive experience; it might not be suitable if the sole focus is on cutthroat, win-at-all-costs competition.
  • Families Whose Coaches Have Been Removed by TCSC: Note that children of removed coaches have also been barred from participating.
  • Intensity Management Philosophy: The facility removes coaches perceived as 'too intense,' even if they have a winning record, indicating a specific philosophy on competitiveness that parents should be aware of.
  • Management Handling of Negative Feedback: A former coach reported being blocked on Facebook and the owner being unresponsive after their removal, which raises concerns about how management addresses criticism from staff.

"We have been here for years playing NFL flag. I’m only writing my review because I see a negative comment written by a former coach that I used to witness during games. TCSC absolutely made the right choice by getting rid of him. I could go into many details of the things I witnessed and heard for a couple seasons along with many others. All of the parents I spoke to were very happy he was asked to leave, myself included."
