My kid really liked this place. Looks like they have a miniature waterpark area that opens during summer I suppose. The playground area is a nice bouncy low impact recycled rubber material. They have swings for little and big kids, a big covered play set, and see-saws/spinny seats. Very peaceful and clean.

This park has lots of shady trails that are great for walking on hot days. My dog loved it. Lots of cute painted rocks were hidden along the trails. There's also a splash pad, which is great for kids, but no dogs allowed inside. Nice that there was an ice cream truck parked there too.

This is a very typical Henrico County park. It offers what needs to be offered and it does it well. The fountain area looks like a great place to take children, though I personally prefer the one at Short Pump Park. The park does a very good job of connecting well with the surrounding area and is about as pedestrian-oriented as an American park can get. The trail network here is definitely exercise oriented and not scenic in the slightest, with lots of places where people have cut off corners when the trail doubles back unnecessarily. Other than that one complaint, though, this park is great!

This place is so fun. My son loved the splash pad. The playground has shade and the picnic tables are shaded but the area around the splash pad isn’t so best to bring a chair with umbrella if you have little ones and don’t want to sit far away. But overall great park we will go back for sure.

This is a great park. The area is fenced in but not gated. No matter where I stood, I had a good view of my little. If you have babies that aren't able to enjoy the splash pad, there are bucket swings located near the water, so you can swing your baby while still keeping an eye out on the other. The playground is great, too. It's large, has a canopy for shade, serves many ages, and has a rubber surfaced ground. Between the splash pad and the playground, there are picnic tables that are also shaded. You'll also find benches all around, and most have shade. Bathrooms are located on the other side of the parking lot. It's not a long walk and easy to get to. Around the area, there are trails and sand volleyball courts. I saw many parents/kids playing in the sand before heading to their car. I will say that this is a popular spot. Daycares frequently use the park as their field trip. The positive - there is always someone to play with, which gives parents a break. Down side - If you have a timid toddler or younger toddler, they might get bumped or knocked down, but that's all part of growing up.
